What are the American guidelines regarding neonatal resuscitation programs for pediatric anesthetists? Are pediatric anesthetists required to get NRP certification?
@TheResuscitationCoach2 ай бұрын
AHA does not set the standard on what certifications providers must get. These are set by individual organizations. Most top organizations will require Anesthesia team members to get NRP.

I had a 24 heart rate and was denied Transcutaneous Pacing as well as Permanent Pacemaker…they all accused me of faking and that it was all mental. Until I had to travel to a different US Territory to seek help I got my pacemaker and now my heart rate is 60bpm because they set up my ppm to 60 🫠 before the pacemaker my heart rate was 17….i suffered 1 year without being heard. I am 20 y/o female, with Tachy-Brady Syndrome (Sick Sinus)

I want to ask about skin burn because of defibrillaton .does it occur from the 1st ,2nd,3rd or more for eg.10 or 12 times?
@TheResuscitationCoach3 ай бұрын
It’s a difficult question to answer. It can happen from the first shock. ⚡️ It all depends on proper technique. If you are not using appropriate amount of Defib Gel with the paddles or you have used the Multi-Function pads too many times or for to long it could cause burns.

What would it mean if a patient has cardiac arrest it's been 50 hours post arrest there body temperature was cooled at 34.5 first 24 hours and now its at 36. But the patient is twitching their eyes and face? Could this be an indicator of brain damage? And what are the chances of this patient with survive? All sedation was taken off approximately around 9: 00 am but the patient do not wake up or respond to any pain and now has been re sedated.

It’s very difficult to comment on a situation like this as we don’t have the full picture. My recommendation is to discuss it with their Healthcare Provider.

@TheResuscitationCoach3 ай бұрын
I would not recommend to use the Epipen during Cardiac arrest. High-quality CPR and AED use is what's going to save the victim.

I do agree that Normal Saline is the recommended crystalloid for Hypovolemia. But also see page 189 of the NRP 8th Edition manual: 'Lactated Ringers solution is an acceptable alternative but is not as commonly available'

Thank you for your informative video, as always. I noticed a discrepancy that I'd appreciate clarification on. At 4:47 minutes, you mentioned that the endotracheal (ET) dose of adrenaline is 2-3 times the intravenous (IV) dose. However, in your video on bradycardia at 5:15 minutes, you stated that the ET dose is 0.1 mg/kg, which is actually 10 times the IV dose. Could you explain this discrepancy and clarify the actual guidelines according to the American Heart Association (AHA)? For reference, here is the link to your bradycardia video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIfYZ4N5bct8q9E&ab_channel=TheResuscitationCoach
@TheResuscitationCoach3 ай бұрын
In the video I mentioned that they typical ET dose is 2-3 times the IV/IO dose. I don't mention Epinephrine specifically. The ET dose of Epinephrine is 10 times the IV dose. We use for IV the 1:10000 or 1mg in 10ml concentration versus for ET we use the 1:1000 or 1mg/ml concentration. You will find this information in the PALS manual on page 102- Endotracheal Route. The Bradycardia dose you can see in Figure 48 in the PALS manual.

The video is very nice and useful-thank you for uploading such valuable material. At 4:32 minutes, you mentioned that the depth of compression should be one-third of "your" anteroposterior diameter. This could be a bit confusing, so I suggest using the term "patient's" instead of "your" for clarity.
