Thank you for a straight-to-it no-bullshit How To Play video. I especially appreciate the counting of the rolls because it gives us a rough idea of how often we'll have to consult the rules and start rolling. Great work. You should do lessons on how to do this. I would have probably mixed the "people are obsessed with something" with the art and charismatic dictator. Not to get into politics, but one small area of the world (maybe the one with the spaceport) worships the god-king Jonald T Drump and is obsessed with reality TV. In fact, his messianic rise began with him starring in several reality TV programs. There are a lot of ways you can interpret the random prompts, though, so your way also works.

I am less inclined to play it recently but love the 3 action economy. I think it has 3 standouts for me - 1/ 3 action economy 2/ traps and hauntings that have mechanics that match the environment and are crunchy 3/ some great adventure modules that are honestly elevated into a tasty retro feel vs any of the recent DnD content. Otherwise I am not currently running it.

I think these rules are tight. I was not as impressed with the skirmish version and do want to try the regiments again. The skirmish version did not provide enough crunch at the smaller scale for me, almost as if the rules are better suited to more mass battles.

Thank you for the battle report. FYI: When undead miss the morale check they have to roll a dice for each remaining wound. The one warden model on the left side who failed morale should have been routed (less than half wounds/models with tough).

Unnoticed: You don't know something is there. Undetected: You know something is near but you don't know where. You hear a branch snap. The crackle of lightning. A magical disturbance. Hidden: You know where something is but you can't see it. A creature is invisible. A creature ducks behind cover. Concealed: You know something is there, but it's difficult to see. A creature lurks in dim light or mist.

It's a free ruleset that allows the re-use of Games Workshop collections, so I imagine that is where the hype comes from. Not sure where the "scam" part comes in. If you don't want to pay for STLs, use the rules with other models, such as the previously mentioned GW models.
Жыл бұрын
@@ckwasneski Well, you have to pay for the full rules...
@ckwasneski Жыл бұрын
@ The "one page rules" are free, army lists are free, missions are free, co-op and solo are free. You pay for the advanced rules, at $5, which do add to the base rules; But they give you everything you need to play the game for at least a few dozen games. I'm not disagreeing that there are parts you can pay for, but hardly seems to warrant being labeled a scam.

I think this is an excellent example of how to enjoy your hobby YOUR way. I`ve never understood people who look at the rules and make assumptions (even then they`ve never actually played the game themselves) or who look for the faults, as opposed to enjoying a darn good game... when, as all true gamers know, the rules we choose to use are simply the tool we employ to create a game, but the rules (which ever we pick) are merely the guidelines we refer to.. to create a good story. There is nothing wrong with Dungeon World, and any good, immersed gamer can make it as good as he or she wishes, or is capable of doing. I really enjoyed this video.. immensely so. I dont play Dungeon World anymore (though I have played an entire 2 year enjoyable solo campaign using the system). I use my own system nowadays.... but the principle remains, what you are doing is good, fun, and highly enjoyable. Thank you for sharing :-)
