This video was really interesting, I've been considering the term demigirl for a bit now, but at this point I honestly don't think it's for me. Tbh I'd currently describe myself as genderfunky, I can't really say I know what's going on, but I do know that I'm most likely somewhere under the nonbinary-umbrella. ^^' In theory I do like the concept of being demigender and I feel like the definition would suit me, but I can't get over the feeling of being uncomfortable with the word "girl" being attached to my label. I've also been considering some other stuff like being agender, genderfluid, or simply nonbinary without further clarification, but I will need some more time to decide whether I am comfortable with any of those. Anyways, thanks for being so open, gender is a complicated journey for sure, but it's nice to see people who are so comfortable with their labels. 💛 For now I don't have a label for my gender identity, which is okay too, but I'm interested to see where my journey will continue to take me. I hope to reach a point where I am comfortable with telling people what pronouns to use for me, especially since in my language there's not really an easy way to address someone neutrally, but in the meantime I'll try to just be kind to myself. I hope you're well, take care. 💛

I came here to find support and information. I wanted to do more research and stuff on this gender Identity. I used to identify with it but i internalized peoples opinions.
@CaspianKeskin8 ай бұрын
that happens to a lot of people, it’s scary exploring your identity and there’s always someone who wants to explain your experience to you and invalidate it! if you feel like you identify with demigender, then that’s your choice to do so and no-one can decide that for you 💜

I doubt you'll see this, but if you tap your base makeup under your eyes instead of rubbing it in your dark circles wont be as bad. Rubbing your eyes irritates them and causes dark circles and wrinkles.

I have a quick question sorry: can you be a demiboy and just use they/them pronouns? i know its kind of a stupid question, i just want to know if thats valid i guess
@CaspianKeskin Жыл бұрын
absolutely you can! pronouns don’t define gender so you can use whatever pronouns feel good for you :) I am both He and They and happy for people to use either ^^

i personally have a similar fashion choice to cis males, but im pretty much the opposite of the "male stereotype" and i just feel out of place compared to my cis friends. so i feel comfortable identifying as a demiboy.

Is it weird that I identify as a demiboy and use he/they pronouns, but I dress mostly androgynous or fem and don't really plan on medically transitioning? (I'm interested in top surgery, but I don't want to go on T). That's the presentation I'm happiest with, but I doubt most people will ever see me as my gender, and I don't want to change how I look or present just to pass.
@CaspianKeskin Жыл бұрын
not weird at all! i think it’s stupid that people will validate your identity based on how you look, if a cis guy dressed fem no-one cares, if anything it’s celebrated. but think it’s fine to judge trans masc people for the same thing ?? I know plenty of trans masc folks who are he/they he/him and are comfortable enough with the body they have. why should someone have to go through an intense medical transition just to please others? it’s stupid. if someone is happy enough with their body and don’t feel the need to transition, they are still 100% valid in their identity. unfortunately it can lead to misgendering in public by strangers etc, but heck even 5 years on T wearing black baggy clothes I still get misgendered sometimes. it’s a harsh world out there sadly 💓

Is there aby research done about why people become nonbinary and how it shows yourself in brain functioning or genetics?
@velan.a2 жыл бұрын
My experience of being demiboy is basically being agender/genderless doing male things and feeling conected to manhood without being a guy (in my case I'm biological female) and I could consider myself as agender transmasc but I feel I can do some things into masculine role without feeling uncomfortable... while sometimes I'm indifferent when being called as guy, I prefer being seen as person depending of ambiental situations, actually I'm used of being treated like a girl and now I started unpacking some mental things clicking in my head subconsciously like why I feel strange being a woman with a man in a relationship? And why I'm with women I want to be percieve as man or genderless in a straight relationship and when I'm with men I wanna be seen as genderless in a gay relationship? So many questions, and I'm planning a mastectomy and packing but not into hormones, my voice is ok and my hair I'm gonna cut it down alone or going to a barber/hairdresser Then my next step is find a job, legalize my name and be out of my house And yep I'm a feminine boy Edit: nice video

Isn't it simply the case that you don't like people to be presumptuous about your identity and what's in your pants? You're basically saying, it's not other people that define me, I define myself. You want society to validate who you are but not tell you who you are. Obviously you're highly disagreeable which is fine I am too. But the thing with being the owner of your individuality is that it doesn't belong to you, it's something that the culture projects upon yourself. If you want to be a true purist in terms of individuality you need to either reject culture completely or be so original that you will create your unique expression of special identity. That's the thing, if you're not a leader you will inevitably be a follower.
@MatisBogdan2 жыл бұрын
But you see this is the problem. When do you do with 50% of society who doesn't care about educating themselves? Many people go through life without making any extra intellectual effort beyond that which is minimally necessary. If you have 75% of the population who lives within the binary narrative, if they don't understand the intricacies of your identity early on, it will be harder and harder for them as they grow older. So you're always going to have a chunk of the population who will be totally ignorant about the LGBTQ community. I'm just saying we need to be realistic about expectations
@CaspianKeskin2 жыл бұрын
not sure why you’re acting like we should just shrug our shoulders and just be like “well this is a lost cause 🤷♂️”. No, I don’t care about people who don’t want to learn. But the younger generations are open minded and will listen and adjust their words and behaviour. Not sure why you’ve given up on trying to change the world. I am very realistic about expectations - if we don’t believe change will happen, then it never will. You shouldn’t be so negative and disheartened.
@MatisBogdan2 жыл бұрын
@@CaspianKeskin For me it's less about belief in humanity and more about understanding humanity. One would be naive to think we can rely 100% on belief or have 100% understanding. We can learn from history and from observation that humanity tends to fragment itself in little groups rather than come together. I want to understand what those groups will be and what are the forces that pull them together or push them apart. It's useful in order to form a reasonable world view.
