Sweet collection. Some years ago I had that Miura in red and that Cadillac in pink. Beautiful models but them damn rubber bands ate through the paint. I swear, box collectors are something else...

Well by modern standards these are lacking on some details , not many insert for lights as you mentioned and also the wheels yes they're Rubber tires and the rims are not generic but they're all chrome & plain , But when i think of what was avalaible in this segment at the time everything was fitting the fancy toys category except these and of Course Kyosho above everything.

They are cool looking models.....

I never bought these when new. Too expensive. I have a few dozen now. Prices came way down, so nice to pick up second hand.

I have few of those. Including 2020 HW purple "3" and 2019 blue "11". I'm thinking about buying 917/20 "pink pig" to complete duo of "pigs". Mercedes 300 SEL "Red Pig" should be delivered next week. So "Pink Pig" is logical choice 😂 Majorette is obvious choice but I'm trying to find something more detailed too.

Strange coincidence. I got my first Matchbox Collectors 2 days ago. And one of those is same yellow 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT. Second one is 1955 Ford Panel Delivery. First time in my local toy shop they had this line. There were 5 casting to choose from but other 3 were just ugly and not worth buying at all. Especially 2023 Nissan Z. Such huge gaps around doors are crime :D But I'm not sure if I will buy another Matchbox collectors because same day in same shop I bought mainline Matchbox 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT. Only difference is color (red), registration plate on the rear, different wheels and packaging. I don't think this is enough to charge 4 times more for same casting. BTW few days before buying those I received parcel from Tom's Modelauto's. One of models inside was Para64 Mitsubishi 3000GT. Because of clearance sale it was cheaper than Matchbox Collectors 🤣

I kept one of my Team Transport flatbeds, to put cars I need to let something dry/cure on when I'm customizing. That one was from my HKS Silvia S15. Otherwise I wouldn't have cared too much about it. Hadn't been to any walmarts to get any of those Gulf Panteras, but they have that same truck that came with that Fiat.

the cab design of the Truck is unlicensed but at least I can see it's European inspired... a lot of previous set had American & Japanese trucks style only for almost everything

well I'd choose the MBX collectors over the Majorette Deluxe but it's because of the car themselves but if I put that aside they're both fancy toys... the majorette win the toys part because it got suspension and opening parts, for the fancy part I would say it's a tie...
