I'm on a 40 day regimen of strong antibiotic delivered to my PICC by Easy Pump. In the last week I've had FOUR pumps that were defective. The outer "bladder" went flat in the usual 30 minutes but the inner bladder surrounding the core was still FULL. As I don't know what's in that inner bladder I don't feel confident whether I'm getting the medication at all or in full. What is happening here? I've called the business that supplies these and they don't seem to care. I asked for an extra due to one wasted but when they didn't even care about the first "dud" I've been feeling very deflated about calling and reporting the subsequent 3 easy pumps that were defective. In the meantime I've found that if I wrap my hand around the bulb and pump it, it will finally deliver all the contents but it does take a long time to do this manually. And still, I worry that I'm not getting the medication properly or in full. I was in hospital after 3 weeks illness and diagnosed with Invasive strep A so the infection was serious and I'm not confident with all these 4 defective bulbs.

Enjoyed the video! Thank you so much. :) Quick question: Do you need to label the medication and med concentration for which the catheter has been inserted? I am thinking of potential medication interaction as well as narcotic with different concentration. Thanks. :)
