I never thought about snacking as a habit before, and you are so right. Thank you so much for highlighting this! I may need to analyze my snacking habits and think about replacing them with real meals earlier in the day and replacing the snacking time with another, more helpful habit :)

Thank you for this great video. I have zero willpower. I overeat and make myself miserable and then reward myself with sugar. It’s so hard for me to have accountability for myself and my bad eating habits.

@@LP-cm7kg Hii 👋🏻 here’s my general advice without knowing anything about you or your lifestyle: 1. First thing, I’d make sure that your cravings to overeat sugary stuff or even b!nge eat are NOT coming from any dieting you’re doing. If you restr!ct your food intake too much your brain perceives a food shortage and strong cravings are just the natural consequence. It’s actually a very smart and intelligent mechanism humans have built into them since it secured our survival in the past. 2. Second thing, if in the past you’ve done repeated phases of dieting and restricting AND followed the cravings that your brain generated from being under the impression that your body was facing a food shortage - likely created a b!nge eating habit. Repeating the same behaviors over and over again deeply ingrains them into our brains. The more you repeat something the more neutal pathways in the brain become strengthened - which then increases the automation of the behavior turning it into a habit. In short your brain has learned to keep generating urges EVEN IF you are now starting to eat enough and stop all diets. In the case this habit needs to be broken again to be free! 3. Lastly, if it’s just a regular craving to overeat and not related to anything I said above, it’s time to change perspectives about overeating cravings. A craving is ultimately just a feeling. And all feelings are fleeing. Meaning the subside at some point. So why act on a fleeing that can go away anyway? 4.) As a little bonus tip I’d make sure that if you have a weight loss goal, you focus on slow & sustainable weight loss. And how is this achieved? Through habits - maintainable habits, that you implement into your life that you keep doing forever to slowly and gradually become the natural byproduct of your daily habits. Healthy weight loss habits are: +10k steps, bulking up your meals with vegetables or fruit, always having a low cal starter, always high quality protein, 80/20 rule, meal prepping, no boredom/stress snacking etc. Let me know if that resonated xx

This is the most realistic weightloss timeframe and experience I've come across! The same thing happened to me. I lost 22 kgs in about 2 years and I am still going. I want to lose another 5-7 kgs and hopefully I'll be able to do it by Christmas. If I don't, I learned that's also fine and to just keep going 🤗 I kept hearing that you need to change your lifestyle and when I finally understood this, the weight started coming off stress-free. Loved the video!

I feel like just trying to resist the urge causes it to stay more. I get into an internal fight and that never ends. I've been trying not to fight it and instead work on creating new habits that sound more fun
@loseweightandstopovereating7 ай бұрын
There’s 100% more to it than just resisting. In essence, what I teach in my membership and while coaching clients 1:1 is the following: - you have the strength to resist but it’s never about fighting the urge, it’s about letting it be there, and being open to it - not fearing the urge, or starting an internal battle with your mind. It’s about learning to become almost unbothered and letting the urge come and go - and the more you practice this, the stronger your mental strength will grow - if you keep fearing the urge, and not letting in be there and pass, and you keep fighting it or not wanting to feel it, or be okay with it, it’s pointless I hope that made it clearer for you xx

The more u practice does it get easier? Last less time?
@loseweightandstopovereating7 ай бұрын
@@katg7536 for sure! It’s really important that you keep internalizing that you actually have the power to resist. Internalize it everyday. Try not to fight it, rather be open to it and let the craving/urge be there. Your mental ability to resist urges will grow with practice! It’ll take some time for sure but it will get easier from my experience (and experience coaching clients). They became less intense and then less frequent. I hope that answered your question. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to know xx
