The thing about Gretzky is he was just a natural born hockey player, he had an uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time. He's the greatest player of all time, but his highlights are pretty boring if were being honest. But he didn't have to be flashy or put on a show, his skill did all the talking. As far the best highlight reels, Hasek and Kovalchuk are up there.

The Great One deserves a much better song than this.

I think my favorite thing about Gretzky is his joy and love for playing the game. Every goal he scores or his team scores he is so excited. It was never really a business or job for him. He truly played the game of hockey for fun. Good for him to celebrate like he did when he broke all of the records. You don’t see it much these days.

His accuracy whether it was passing or shooting seemed to be his greatest asset, seemed to have really good instincts as well, never found him to be the most flashy or finesse with his moves but always seemed to find the open ice and put the puck in the right spot 👑
