I think a super smart and useful thing to do that would benefit both the viewers and your company would be to share URLs of the tools that you are using (for example I was curious to find out what exact electric string winder model you were using; some might be interested in the exact model of the Marshall Amp that you are using at the end, etc). You could use affiliate URLs from Amazon or if your store sells things like this, then you can share your own online's store URLs.

Hi is the bridge pick up an sh-4 or tb-4 it seems the space between string will fit better the tb-4
@jgguitarcompany4174
@jgguitarcompany4174 Жыл бұрын
It's been a long time and many hundreds of guitars ago, but I do believe this was an SH-4. Now, TB-4 would make more sense for sure, but the customer often brings the pickups to me. Also, we have to realize that magnetic fields aren't exact as many people believe, so the string spacing of an SH-4 still works very well with little to no difference it tonal value.

Why bash the pick-up with a pair of needle nose to "test" it? Use a Meter and test the pickup output instead of bashing up your clients new pickup covers for Pete's sakes🙄

My apologies, upon further inspection - this appears to be a FX Edge III-8 bridge. There is no tremolo functionality, but double-locking tuning stability is a major plus

The Hot Rodded Humbucker set is so superior to the crappy DiMarzios or whatever comes stock that it's not even funny. The JB has more tone, cut through better, have punchier harmonics, just everything, and the Jazz is my favorite neck pup of all time. These Duncans just make every guitar sound so much better there really is no comparison.

Amazing video man! I have a Ibanez Gio that I got as a first guitar a couple years ago. Would it be worth upgrading with Seymour Duncans, hardware etc. on a cheap 150-200$ guitar? I'm keeping it since it's my first but was thinking about it as it would be nice to have another guitar in a different tuning.

Thanks! I have a question: If my Ibanez (RG870QMZ-RDT) has humbucker/single/humbucker (and one volume/one tone like yours) and I want to change just the humbuckers, I have to remove the middle pickup too or isn't necessary to install the neck and bridge ones?
@jgguitarcompany4174

Likely you will have to remove the middle at least to get the wires from the new pickups through the body.

@@jgguitarcompany4174 Great video, I just did one of these and I used a 7/64 bit on the bridge (though a 1/8 should work fine too), I used a 3/8 for initial diameter of the narrower part of the end pin jack connector but the bracing in my guitar made the end pin area thick enough that I had to use a 1/2" so I could fit the thicker part of the end pin jack through the hole. Hope that helps.

Hey I wanted to ask a question from your lastest video of your Fishman fluence job(but comment were turned off). I want to get a set of Fishman fluence modern Humbucker pickups and I want them Installed on my Ibanez Jem 77p bridge and neck it’s a HSH set up. Would that be a difficult job to get done? I would really appreciate it if you could give me an answer. Thanks 🙏🏽
@jgguitarcompany4174
@jgguitarcompany4174 4 жыл бұрын
Yo 3ASY Beast! The install wouldn't be too bad I would think. However, with the Fluence pickups you will be swapping out the volume and tone pots with 25k pots, so the middle pickup may sound a little dull do to the load on the pickup. Otherwise, it should be pretty straight forward! A JEM 77p is a very cool guitar! Hope you find what you need!

I own a gio 120ex and wanna put emg or seymour duncans is there any solder necessary or basically plug and play?
@jgguitarcompany4174
@jgguitarcompany4174 4 жыл бұрын
EMG's will include pretty much what you need and will be more or less plug and play. If you get the Active Duncan like the Black outs, they will be as well. But if you are wanting to put Passive pickups in, you will have to solder for sure. With Active pickups you might have to solder as well. Just depends on what you want.
