Nice plane you got there. I'm seriously considering one just given how unique low-slow flight characterisitcs appear to be. I like the livery of this one and also the white. I wasn't sure if the white was still a V3 or if only the "lightning bolt" livery was V3 with the metal cockpit hinge, etc. Guess I'll have to contact PA. I have a bunch of Spektrum 6S 3200s, hoping that would work in this bird. Thanks for sharing.

Where did you find info on that mix setup? Ive been wanting a good guide and just watching your video (nice flying btw) has me pumped to find it again. I have an old but pristine V1 Addiction X
@D_WallRC19 сағат бұрын
I had no instructions, I just sat and tried a few different options mix wise until I got it right. My ailerons are at 100% travel when the elevator is at 100%. If you fly Spektrum I can share how I set my mix up.
@andrewwelsh258119 сағат бұрын
@@D_WallRC I have an iX12 but Im using my Jeti system on my Addiction. So you are saying its full aileron/elevator mixed? When you pull back on the elevator do the ailerons go up or go down (flaperons I think is the term).
@D_WallRC19 сағат бұрын
@@andrewwelsh2581 flaperons just act as flaps and ailerons, I have a mix that the ailerons move proportionally with the elevator. When elevator goes up so do ailerons, as well as down.
@andrewwelsh258119 сағат бұрын
@@D_WallRC Ok so if I understand you correctly, when you pull up on elevator "both" ailerons go up with the same deflection? And vice versa for down? Mark Wargo had a video mentioning it but it was not too clear. Also sorry for your coldness. Im in South East Queensland in Australia. Its baking hot here! (but in Celsius. Lol)
@D_WallRC18 сағат бұрын
@@andrewwelsh2581 that is correct it basically pulls the ailerons out of the way but they also still function and you can fly almost as normal with the mix engaged. It seems to also help with harriers by allowing a lil more throttle

Nice David! I saw your posts on PA FB. I have been flying mine for 8 yrs. There is nothing else like it. I sold my $5,500 EF 104" gas plane, but I will NOT sell my ADXL! A few tips. I use HV batteries from SMC racing. A 3300 MAH, will give me about 7+ minutes of flight if I am easy w/ power. I also have some 4000MAH. and can fly for over 14 minutes. With the 3300's I do not see significant degradation in flight ability/ agility. Another tip is mix in flaperons. The plane will do crazy tight turns upon itself. Also with about 20 degrees of flaps, it will jump of the ground in a couple plane lengths. That symmetrical wing only allows for angle of attack for lift and direction change. By adding flaperons, the wing actually produces lift quite nice. On a side note, It is sad that PA quality control is pretty bad. I also had a defective ESC and they would not help. I fly mostly EF and Flex now. Screw me once shame on you.... screw me twice...that aint gunna happen! BTW, IMHO the ADXL is the only plane that seems worth owning. The moments of the others are off enough as to hinder quality flight. I have owned most, they fly ok, but for higher energy ( above the ADXL flight regimen ). I prefer EF. ALSO, another super nice flying plane is the Flex RV8. It is like a big ADXL, but to rich for my blood. Nice job man, well done!
@D_WallRC13 күн бұрын
Thanks for the recommendations, I may try a few of those packs. I am getting about 6 minutes with the 2600 packs. I now have 8 flights on the ADXL, and plan to add the mixes soon, just wanted to get a good feel for the plane first. And I definitely agree about the RV8, I fly the 60E G2 and the 70CC camo version and man oh man what great flying aircraft. I also fly the Skywing ARS300 and that for sure carries more momentum than the ADXL but I have never seen a plane that sil float like the xl. I think I need the mix to get the ADXL to go into a knife edge spin, just can't seem to get it as is, the ARS300 LOVES a KE spin! Happy FLying!

I had some Bob Dively air restrictors from another airplane that I put in the up and down lines of the retracts and doors to operate more prototypical. Unfortunately they are not manufactured any longer. You might try using wheel collars to restrict the air flow. They work best when installed close to the cylinder air nipples.
