Espectacular! Recuerdo ir a todas las ediciones de Navidad Entre Amigos con mi familia cuando era niña! Siempre esperaba a los globos caer del techo al final del evento!

What can't we have a bit of music?!? Applause tells us nothing. Really, when does a big Mahler symphony NOT get a huge round of applause?

The applause, robust at first, kept going long enough to bring the artists back for four brief encores: Rachmaninoff’s “A Dream” and “Spring Waters,” Moniuszko’s “The Spinner,” and “Still wie die Nacht” by Carl Bohm.

Being at this performance I’d call this a dull Tosca. They sang the music but nothing else.

Why doesn’t the sound match the picture? The bravos coming long after the singer is bowing.

I was in the audience yesterday and I wasn't sure what happened. Was Stephen Costello replaced on the Third Act? I think I heard him crack in the Second Act? And who replaced him? Thank you

Iwas there, too. Belarussian tenor Pavel Valuzhin replaced Stephen Costello who had the flu in the Third Act.

The Observer wrote: "After his first Met Pinkerton, a grinning Tetelman ignored the plan and swiftly strode to the footlights well ahead of the rest of the cast, constructively making it all about him. He even outdid fellow shameless tenor showboat vittorio grigolo by eagerly gesturing to the audience to award him more applause."

Although Tetelman's voice is great, his behaviour at this curtain call is typical psychopath as he is described by many. He does just show off himself, all about himself. Sickening

Nadine Sierra’s is one of this generation’s finest young sopranos and seems to light up the stage whenever she is singing. Sierra’s coloratura is effortless and her voice has a lovely fluidity. Opera Magazine Readers’ 2023 Award was presented to American soprano Nadine Sierra, in the only award of the evening voted for by the public. American soprano @nadine.sierra becomes the new ambassador of the brand for the Opera and classical music industry.

I went to this performance. Great night at the Met. Asmik Grigorian and Jonathan Tetelman (he's a lot taller and handsomer than I expected) were wonderful. Anthony Minghella's production still holds up after all these years. The puppet of "Dolore" is still heartbreaking holding the little American flag.

I sometimes identify with Cio Cio San but would not go to the same extreme. Mr. Pinkerton, not my favorite.🥲. Un Bel Di, what a piece Puccini left us! Powerful, beautiful in its dramatic sadness.

I discovered the musical "by accident", in July '23 when I was in London for Bruce Springsteen's two concerts. I know London very well, so I was looking for something to do in the afternoon before the show in Hyde Park. I was thunderstruck, literally. I sang, danced, cried, and laughed like I haven't in years. and I'm almost 60 years old, 40 of which I spent traveling the world to see Bruce. I've seen the musicaln at least once a month since then. I live in Milan, get my ticket as soon as I have some time, leave by fly at 10 a.m. and arrive at 12 noon in London, headed to the Piccadilly Theatre for the 2:30 p.m. show and then at 8 p.m. fly back home. and or I will as long as it's on in London. see it, experience it, love it. it's just amazing!!! All the best, Alessandro
