Question ... how did you remove the old solder off the heat spreader so cleanly? The only remnant of the old solder appears as a "shadow" on the heat spreader. I need to remove the same device and have wondered how to remove the older solder. T Thanks, Randy

I have the first DX-Master Pro + in the USA for a few months now and it's amazing. HD build quality with lots of head room. I can run QRO 1500W SSB QSO for hours and never goes over 45c! Very quiet low speed cooling and powerful hi-speed cooling. It's All About Headroom :) As far as I can see from the way the amplifier is designed and built if used properly this amp will last a lifetime! VK-Amps and Onder are for those who want the best!

I'm just curious, I can't find anything regarding the setup of the amp. Would you be able to drive it at 400W for instance? bit of a waste but considering the price, it seems like a valid option, just not sure about gain levels and drive power. Cheers.

Amplifier output is dictated by the drive power from the exciter, in this case reduce the power from the Yaesu rig and the PEP from the amplifier will decrease accordingly.

Fan complains a bit much. Not a problem with RF2K-S.

I would have thought this would of had a band switch protection as this is a very easy mistake to make no matter how good you are

My amp is on the way now. How the AC cord and ac male jack on the back of the amp look like? I am working into installing 220v on the radio room for the amp..

@@AmateurRadio-2PW Great. I got one cable from Amazon, a 20 amps one, installed a 20 amp breaker and wire size 10, then got now 240 VAC on the shop with a dedicated outlet. Thanks.

I think I heard you say 100% duty cycle, but in my book FT8 is a 50% duty cycle mode.

You should always run auto band change interface to your HF radio so you don’t TX on wrong band setting on amp. You want the amp band pass filters to follow the band on radio.

they prob don't come with the auto band switching to save on cost...my guess.

Looks interesting but the fans start getting very loud just calling CQ. What does it sound like key down? In a contest or DX pileup the fans will get very distracting forcing use of headphones.

The sound is from an external Flatpack power supply. The Huawei power supply is much quieter when it's inside the amplifier.

Either way ldnos can get rather warm so you want power fans
