Dealers will know that the car has been tuned now. They basically sold a 992.1 GTS without all the performance upgrades for the price of a last gen 992.1 2S, so the engine should withstand everything fine. I guess dealer relationships will determine whether they honor warranties moving forward. With the updated price, getting the full amount of performance is a no-brainer... can't wait for the 992.2 tune!

@@sfarrell2459 Headers are one the favorite mods for sound and power on this platform along with OAPs. M-Tuner makes it easy to switch maps in about 1 minute between different octanes. You can request features to be on or off from us and there's no cost to change those. -Charles@M

Pump gas on bigger turbos does mean some loss in down-low response. Usually for big turbo upgrades we recommend higher octane. -Charles@M

The two cars share a similar M838T engine but there are some differences. They both make huge power on ethanol. Upgraded injectors and the injector harness are required. Cars with bigger turbos will also need upgraded fuel pumps as well. -Charles@M

From the factory, the valves only open part of the way. With the PSE valve mod, we force them open 100% so you have louder volume and make a touch more power. -Charles@M

@@loxxrider specifically, a lambda target just slightly leaner than stoich is targeted at idle. This is part of the reason for the dither at idle as the car is trying to correct and run well with a not ideal target. -Charles@M

The coolant gauge on the dash is not something we flash or alter. However, if you use M-Tuner, you can datalog in real time for accurate temperature readings that are refreshed much more quickly than the dash will say. -Charles@M

Amazing video very nice explanation. What does the software do when the car is run hard. Dyno pulls are one thing, but when you go to sustained HPDE runs? (obviously no,disrespect M-engineering is known to be top level, but not all companies are hence be nice to hear) How does it handle when the vehicle is really stressed ? Is the pop and crackle i hear part of the tune or more a effect of the Race parts or a bit of both?

These cars will actually perform better on street and track conditions as they will have superior airflow and cooling compared to the dyno fans. We do not alter or dial back safety features such as knock control so these are all still in place. We leave factory pops and burbles the same, unless you want them fully deleted. With a louder exhaust the pops will naturally be louder as well. -Charles@M

You won’t be sorry! These 4.0’s are amazing. I went from a 996 with LN 4.0 to the 982 4.0. The *only* thing I disliked in the switch up was the sad exhaust note using stock OAP’s with GPF and Soul fixed that for me.

How does the car handle through the turns after the mods? I’ve added the Soul resonated OAPs. I’m considering the headers and software mod. Unfortunately, I can’t do the non-valves exhaust. The old people in my neighborhood will be on the phone with the HOA every time turn on the ignition.

From my experience, sound clips never do it justice. Find someone with a car that has the mods you’re considering. Soul was good enough to connect me with a Spyder that had their exhaust when I was shopping.

I have a manual 718 gt4 with a full jcr exhaust and headers and have driven a gt4 rs around a track briefly. The much shorter gearing makes the 4 rs feel faster. But I’ve raced my car vs a buddy’s 991.2 gt3 pdk and we were neck and neck.

"No more boostane" would be worth getting a re-tune if one's 4.5 build came before these tunes, but yikes. Matt Farrah's 718 got 523hp/366tq on 91 octane. These numbers seem underwhelming for a 992 GT3 with a 4.5 on 93. I'd be mad if this was my 4.5.

Different dynos will read differently. Our Mainline ProHub dyno reads lower than the dyno at World where that was performed at. It's the before/after delta that matters. -Charles@M

@@colnagog6026 The car was delivered to our facility with the 4.5L already installed, we did not baseline it with the stock engine as it was never at our facility in that configuration. A lot of the time, clients send us cars with their hardparts and configurations already installed and tuning as the last step. We don't always get to baseline the cars before they get worked on. -Charles@M
