@@rolosgarage5343 that was a cool 2 part series, I've been contemplating building me a home out of a shed like this. I don't see myself in the near future being able to afford a home. Can you give me any tips on getting started as in getting electric legally and gas? I don't know how to even start.
@rolosgarage53432 жыл бұрын
@@thomas5822 I don’t know about legal electrical, because I live off city limits, so no need for permits. You might want to check the laws where you planning on building it first. Gas the same. We don’t have gas nor chimney, we use electric heater. There’s lots of solar options nowadays you may want to consider, which I’m doing right now, in order to lower the electric bill. Remember you would need a septic tank too. If you can find a used shed halfway converted, you may safe lots of money too. And watch lots of KZbin videos.
@thomas58222 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot, just that info really helped, I also didn't know about not needing a permit outside the city. It's all just an idea now maybe I'll be able to do this. Thanx!
@rolosgarage53432 жыл бұрын
@@thomas5822 yeah, no problem 👍, remember for the no permits off city limits, every State or County is different, make sure to check yours before any move. And the farther away from power lines you build your house, the more you will pay the electric company to route it to your place.

Many have asked how much these PVC components cost. About $20 per foot is your cost on materials right now. High quality vinyl can be seen at www.lbplastics.com/ and the posts are set about 2 feet deep. They provide a 6 foot post for a 4 foot fence, exposed height. The 16 foot rails used was a good choice by Rolo as they are less likely to sag. L.B Plastics offers #10 stainless fasteners to attach the gate. LB's 16' rails are actually 16' long, you will want to add a 1/4" to each 8' section to allow for some play for expansion and contraction. LB can price you through your local supplier like Town and Country , ABC Supply.... Fence Style is 3R28-72 Ranch by LB Plastics.com 800 752 7739
