Is there a way to get a shutter on it so outside air doesn’t leak inside when the fan is not in operation?

There may have been a mesh/screen that could be installed over the fan areas that was included with the fan. However, its purpose would be to keep insects out, not so much to prevent air from leaking.

Does it have two way audio? Is there a speaker on the feeder end?

It's essentially a security camera inside a bird feeder that has two-way audio like most modern wifi cameras. There's a squirrel alarm also, I believe. It's not automatic but can be activated during a live view session.

Not if you don't put the screw back in every time ... A strong enough wind could probably remove the roof if the screw isn't there.

thanks, great review. I've seen people complain that it's a little difficult holding the safety button while controlling the variable speed button. I'm considering this hand blender as a gift for my mom in her 80s, so with small hands with some arthritis, I'm wondering about her ability to control the buttons. It seemed rather easy in your video. I know Kitchenaid makes another cordless hand blender, which has an internal battery, safety switch on the back. I'm trying to find differences between the two units, and I can't really see which one is better, how they're different etc, but your review gave me some information I needed. 👍

That safety switch is a bit tricky, I also believe that's by design. Safety switch on the back might be easier for the case you've mentioned. Thanks for the comment!

These fans, without mounting holes or brackets, are intended to be installed during wall construction. Optionally, one could cut an opening large enough to install them in a preexisting wall, insert them, and lock them in place with cement/mortar around the housing.

😃 Might want to consider a commercial-grade product for heavy rock. It's got a great capacity, but at a certain weight, it is no longer easy to move without attaching it to a towing vehicle.

If you don’t purchase a subscription plan, what can the feeder still do other than record on the SD card? The “no plan” option says it includes a 3-day cycle STG loop/STG capacity. What does that mean?

There is a 3-day rolling storage that occurs locally on the SD card (provided when purchased). You're able to connect to feeder via the mobile app, which is free to use, and view the most recent three days of stored videos. There's also an option to download the videos to your phone using the mobile app.

@@neals.deals.I have an iPhone, when I download or save the 15 second video bird feeder clips from the app, for some reason I can’t share the clips via text message to others. But if my husband saves the clips, then sends them to me via text, I can share them. He has an android. Am I doing something? Any tips?

I need the system to only notify me of unusual bird visitors. It would not be helpful to receive a notification every time a common bird visited. Is this possible. In other words, ideally, the unit could be given a list of species that will NOT generate a notification.

That would be cool! Perhaps a firmware/software update will include a "bypass notifications" list.
