I always use a guide coat. Too late to fix after the paint is on.

What engine did you put in there :O I have one I need help. And how do you do it ?
@ShopDog-Garage23 күн бұрын
That was a while ago! The enigne was an early 351W which was rebuild in 1994! A lot of the structure had to be removed, and in later videos you will see how the core support was made to split open. THe headers are the biggest issue in getting something to fit. This is not a drop in job!
@johnkonter7696Ай бұрын
Hi I see you have a mini split system for heating your shop I’m looking to install one in my shop what size did you use BTU The Camaro looks great Thanks
@ShopDog-GarageАй бұрын
I have not really used teh Mini-Split for heat, I use it for AC in the East side. I have in floor radiant heat, however this 24K unit would heat that room as long as we are above about 5 degrees out. The install was really easy, and I have been happy with it.

Actually tomatoes tamatoe but I was taught A piller post and sail panel is B piller
@ShopDog-GarageАй бұрын
I was taught that the greenhouse of an automobile used three pillars for supporting the roof structure. The “A” pillar holds the windshield in place, the “B” pillar serves as the center structure and the “C” pillar sits on either side of a sedan's rear window. Wagons and later SUVs added a “D” pillar.
@gofastwclassАй бұрын
@@ShopDog-Garage The way I understand this as taught to me by an old GM guy no longer with us is the A pillar is the windshield and the next pillar was B, then C, etc. For a hard top car like your Camaro or my 1961 Impala 2 door hardtop the pillars would be A and B. If this was a sedan like certain Chevelles or all Monte Carlos, it would be A, B, C.

I don't have images of how it looked originally, but this was a nice repair. The other side looked the same. We did do another bed liner product on the wheel wells, and they should last another 50 years!

That is looking awesome man, getting close! Get you one of those white cotton gloves, those cheap kind of fluffy inspection gloves, and keep your fingers tight together and feel the surface with your hand really well. You will be surprised at how much more you can feel with a glove on and your fingers straight and tight together. My eyes always play tricks on me when I see all my different layers of bodywork. Again, this is looking great and you are doing everything right so it's going to come out looking awesome for sure.

Not really. We replaced the gear, and it never happened again, but it sure was weird. Had to be a bad batch of gears that were not heat treated correctly. It is so frustrating building stuff anymore, the quality is so random anymore. We literally have a phrase in the shop, "Aftermarket Garbage is Garbage!"

Looking great man and glad you are feeling better. I had no idea you could move the lift like that, pretty cool. If you are doing primer, you think about pushing it outside and spraying outside? You can even roll it back in soon after you prime it to let it cure. You will have to sand it all anyway so any dust and bugs that get in shouldn't really matter all that much. Just a thought.
