A decent PPV was Clash at the Castle 2024. Not as good as the inaugural, but good for what it was. We kick things off with the Undisputed Title Match. Cody Rhodes defends against AJ Styles in an I Quit Match. Now, what was the reason for an I Quit Match exactly? I have no idea. But I will say that it was a tremendous opener. You know AJ Styles in the ring. He just can't have a bad match. Even at his age, he knows how to perform from bell to bell. But the outcome was as expected. Cody makes Styles say I quit to retain the title. This match gets 4.5*. Next up was a Triple Threat Match for the Women's Tag Team Titles. Garbage! We don't give a shit about these teams and we don't give a shit about those titles. Get...rid of them. The outcome saw Isla & Frye win in one of the most anticlimactic ways imaginable. Like are you kidding me? Cargill hits Jaded on Stark, and then Isla tosses Cargill out of the ring to take advantage. Pathetic! This match gets 1*. IC Title Match was up next. And it was fantastic! Great storytelling all throughout the match. But that outcome... Why didn't you give the title to Gable at that moment? This was your best chance to give him the title right then and there. The match itself gets 4.25*. Up next was Bayley VS Piper Niven for the WWE Women's Title. Not good. Better than the Women's Tag Title Match, but still a mediocre match. The outcome was as expected. 2*. And now! The main event! Damian Priest defends the World Heavyweight Title against the hometown hero, Drew McIntyre. The match that had the most hype and the match that had the most intrigue. Great match. It was as expected. A knockdown drag-out fight. An interactive brawl. There was an unintentional botch from the champ. He tried to perform his patinate dive on McIntyre, but he got tied under the second rope. But he rectified that by selling that injury. The ending saw CM Punk come out, dressed as a referee to cost McIntyre the match furthering their feud. Let me tell you something, Hunter. There's a time when these interferences are going to catch up to you, and you'll notice the fans starting to turn on Punk before you know it. The match itself gets 4*. Clash at the Castle 2024 had one of the hottest crowds you will ever see in a wrestling event. If you want a crowd that really enjoys being there, the Hydro is one of those crowds. Phenomenal! I wish we had this type of reception from our American crowds nowadays. And now, let's talk about the card. The good was great, and they pretty much carried the load for the show. There was some mediocrity on the show. Especially coming from the booking of some of these matches. Other than that, it was an enjoyable show. I'll give it a 7 out of 10.

Summerslam 2024 had one of the worst builds in WWE history. It did set things up for things to come in the following weeks. But did it deliver as a show? Let's find out! World Women's Title Match was good for what it was. Really, the storytelling made the entire match. The ending saw a shocking swerve from Dom, which cost his mami the match. Liv retains the title. This match gets 3*. Intercontinental Title Match was pretty basic. Not much out of the ordinary here. They did make the right decision this time around. Bron Breakker is the NEW Intercontinental Champion! 2.5*. Now onto what was the best wrestled match on the card. Logan Paul VS L.A. Knight for the United States Title. Fantastic match. Logan Paul delivers yet another quality performance. However, the ending annoyed me. Logan Paul used his brass knuckles on Knight, in which Knight no sold, and hits the BFT to win the title. Really great match, shitty ending. 4.25*. Now onto what was by far the worst match on the card. Bayley VS Nia Jax for the WWE Women's Title. My god was this match terrible. It was sloppy, botchy, and illogical. It was a prime example of if you don't know how to do something, don't do it. It was one of the worst matches of the year, and it greatly exposed WWE's women's division. The ending saw Tiffany Stratton try to cash in Money in the Bank, but proved to be a setup, as Nia Jax takes advantage and wins the title. Great setup, but abysmal match. DUD. And now it's time for what was the pan ultimate match of the show. CM Punk VS Drew McIntyre with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee. Easily match of the night! Possibly match of the year! Phenomenal! Pure storytelling. That's what it was all about, and that's what it needed to be. And in the end, McIntyre goes over Punk. 5*. Next up was the World Heavyweight Title Match. Damian Priest defends against the 2024 King of the Ring winner, Gunther. Good match here. I enjoyed the interactive feel of the match. It was a good hoss fight for the world title. Was it a little slow? Yes. Was it methodical? Absolutely! But it was a physical, hard-hitting affair as expected. The ending saw a shocking swerve from Finn Balor, which cost Priest the title. Gunther is the brand new world champion. Finally, a champion we can take seriously. The King General Era is upon us! The match gets 3.5*. And now, it's time for the main event! Cody Rhodes defends the Undisputed Title against Solo Sikoa with Bloodline Rules. The match itself was incredibly boring. The Bloodline Rules stipulation didn't come into play until G.O.D. and Fatu showed up. But the thing that everyone's talking about is the epic return of Roman Reigns. Roman makes his return, wiping out the new Bloodline. One of the greatest Summerslam endings of all time! The math itself gets 1*. Summerslam had a shit build. But in the end, it turned out to be a good show. The card wasn't that bad at all, and the storyline progression was well done. Overall, I'd give this show a 7.5 out of 10.

One of the worst PPVs of all time. I'm not going into much detail into the card. It tells you all that you need to know. The U.S. Title Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match was the right way to kick off a Great American Bash. But the match itself was boring. It felt like these 4 didn't want to be there. They might not even want to be there given the circumstances they had. The build, the crowd, the atmosphere. Nothing was in their favor. They did make the right choice by keeping the title on Cena. Other than that, the match gets 2*. Now onto the positives on the show. Mysterio and Chavo were once a great pairing. These 2 were feuding on & off for the Cruiserweight Title for 4 and a half months. And it culminated in this show. A great match between these 2, and the outcome saw Rey Mysterio retain the title. 4*. Eddie & JBL had one of the most polarizing feuds in Smackdown history for the WWE Title. It was a physical and brutal feud between these 2 stemming from when Bradshaw unintentionally put his hands on Eddie's mother at a live event. They had a Texas Bull Rope Match for the WWE Title, and it was fantastic! It was your interactive brawl that you would expect from these 2. However, the outcome really, really, REALLY pissed me off. One of the worst creative decisions to a world title match you will ever see on PPV. Both men touched all 4 corners of the ring at the same time. But instead of doing the logical thing and restarting the match, they did the stupid thing and awarded JBL the title. One of the most controversial outcomes of all time. The match itself gets 4.25*. Reigns/Haas, DUD. Kenzo/Billy Gunn, DUD. Mordechai/Holly, DUD. Torrie/Sable, DUD. Scratch that. -1*. And then we get to the main event. Undertaker VS The Dudley Boyz in a Concrete Crypt Match. What should I say that everyone else hasn't said about this match? It was one of the worst main events of all time. Not just in PPV history, ever. It was one of the worst matches in WWE history. It had one of the worst post-match conclusions in PPV history. It was a catastrophe on every level imaginable. It exposed everyone in the match. It embarrassed everyone in the crowd and everyone watching at home. And it exposed WWE's undercard around this time. FTS!!!!! The Great American Bash had one of the worst builds in WWE history and the card lived up to it. It had 2 great matches on the card, and they did nothing to even salvage this show. Lots of DUDs on the card. No sense of urgency in anything that they were producing. And it exposed Smackdown's downfall around this time. This show was a disaster. 0 out of 10.

Looking at that card, one would say this looks nothing like Slammiversary. But the show itself actually turned out pretty good for the most part. Countdown: The Knockouts Fatal 4-Way was actually a really fun match. They got their shit in for 7 minutes and the crowd ate it up. I'll give it 3.5*. Swann VS Kushida, nothing out of the ordinary. 2.5*. KO Tag Title Match was a bore-fest. 1*. Hammerstone VS EY should've never been anywhere near the show. DUD. Show: Well, we start off with quite possibly the worst opener in Slammiversary history. Broken Matt Hardy VS Johnny Dango Curtis. Who in the blue hell comes up with Broken Matt VS JDC in the opener of Slammiversary? This belongs nowhere near a PPV, let alone a Slammiversary. A complete waste of time. DUD. We officially get into things with the Tag Team Title Match. Great match. Even better than their initial encounter at Sacrifice a few months back. And the outcome saw the ABC win their 4th Tag Team Titles. 4*. Santana VS Jake Something was another damn good encounter. And one that exceeded my expectations. I expected it to be a simple win for Santana, but how it turned out, I can't complain whatsoever! 4*. 6-Man Tag was pretty good. Not as good as the one from Impact this week, but still a very decent match. But then again, that's what happens when you give away the same match that you had on your go-home show on PPV. Now, granted, this match featured all 3 members of The Rascalz, while the one on Thursday had Kushida as their partner. But that's no excuse. If you knew the match was gonna be on the show, why would you book the same match on your go-home show? The outcome on Thursday saw the NQCC win. But the outcome here saw The Rascals win. Technically, this would be 50/50 booking. But given that the match had different partners with The Rascalz, I guess the outcome was fine. The match itself gets 3.25*. Up next is a Street Fight for the TNA Digital Media & NWA International Heavyweight Wrestling Titles. 2 titles that have no value at all. Especially the International Title. And the match itself was complete garbage! In fact, it was SHIT! How to have a shitty gimmick match. By having as incompetent as AJ Francis in the match. Nothing he was doing in this match was entertaining whatsoever! He went through a table. Whoopty doo! He kicked out of a PCOsault. Whoopty doo! They did take the titles off of him, which...I dunno. Does PCO really need the titles? This Street Fight gets 0.5*. And we move on to the KO Title Match. Jordynne Grace defends against Ash by Elegance. As we all know, Ash has sucked for years. But last night, she actually showed me something. Now, the match wasn't amazing or anything like that. But it did exceed our expectations. But the outcome was as expected. Jordynne Grace retains the title. Now onto building Giselle Shaw back up. I'll give this match 2.75*. And now time for what was the match of the night. Mustafa Ali VS Mike Bailey for the X-Division Title. The 2 best in the game go at it for the belt. Not only was the wrestling as expected, but the booking of it was brilliant! The entourage tried to help their man retain his title, but then Trent Sevens comes out in a mask and security clothes to even things up. He eventually gets taken out by Ali. And then Ali brings TNA Hall of Famer, Earl Hebner for a repeat of the Montreal Screwjob. Earl refused to help Ali retain the title and called it down the middle. And in the end, Mike Bailey overcomes all the odds to win his 2nd X-Division Title. Incredible match. This gets a solid 4.5*. And now! The main event! Moose defends his TNA World Title against Nic Nemeth, Joe Hendry, Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, and Frankie Kazarian in a 6-Way Elimination Match. Wow! How lazy and uncreative can you get TNA? Well, I will say that this was a very well-done match from beginning to end. Steve Maclin gets eliminated first. Then we get to the big one the champ gets eliminated. And who eliminated him? Joe Hendry. Then Joe Hendry gets eliminated by a surprising low blow from Josh Alexander, turning Alexander heel. And then Alexander gets eliminated by Nic Nemeth, who went on to win the title in a celebratory moment. Now, we all wanted Joe Hendry to win the title. That's a given. But how they booked Joe Hendry in defeat was very commendable. Having someone pin the world champion guarantees that they're the future of the company. And Joe Hendry proved that on this night. And at the same time giving someone like Nic Nemeth a run with the title. The match gets 4.25*. The show did have its issues. And the build wasn't up to standard at all. But the show itself turned out to be quite enjoyable. I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10.

This might be the best show all year. When I tell you, everything on the show was great. North American Title Match was awesome! Oba Femi continues to dominate. This guy is the future of WWE right there. Fantastic match. 4.25*. Women's North American Title Match. I expected it to be enjoyable, but it exceeded my expectations. This was great. 4*. Tag Team Title Match was another match that I expect to be decent. But it was yet another great match. 4*. We continue the sting of great matches with the Women's Title Match. This gets 4*. And now for the best match on the card. The main event. The Fatal 4-Way for the NXT Title. Another match that exceeded my expectations. This match in particular exceeded all expectations. This was amazing! Balls-to-the-wall! They put everything on the line to become champion. And it had one of the most shocking and controversial endings to an event in years. Ethan Page falls into the pin and wins the title. This match gets 4.75*. This was a top-to-bottom barn burner of a show. A takeover quality show. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. It had no right to be this good. None. Amazing show! 9.5 out of 10.

Money in the Bank? Might as well call this year's show Money in the Botch. This show was full of botches. Not to mention having some questionable booking decisions. The Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match was fantastic. Lots of big spots in the match. There were some botches, but that didn't hurt the match too much. But you would have Drew McIntyre win. Yeah. I would've gone with Finn Balor. That would've furthered the storyline with the Judgement Day imploding down the line. As for the match, I'd give it 4.25*. The IC Title Match. I liked it. It had a nice pace. It flowed decently. But the outcome was very offensive in my opinion. Why would you have Bron Breakker lose his first PPV match? Why, why, why, why, why?! Do you know how stupid it is to have someone lose the first PPV match? That makes that talent weak. It kills their momentum. But the match itself was not bad. 3*. World Heavyweight Title Match. It was alright. Actually, I retract that statement. It was boring. I didn't expect the match to be this slow and methodical. And just like the first 2 matches, it was plagued by bad booking. In fact, this is the worst booking of them all. You would have Drew McIntyre win Money in the Bank. And then you would have him cash it in on the same night only to get screwed by CM Punk again? STUPID! You are treading in hot water with this. Keep doing it and you'll have a 180 on your hands with McIntyre being the babyface and Punk being the heel. And you had Damian Priest retain the title after all this. One of the worst outcomes all year. The match itself was 2*. Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match was one of the sloppiest matches I've seen all year. There were some spots I enjoyed. One of those spots was towards the end. I thought that was the best thing in the entire match. Overall, the match was a complete botch-fest. The outcome saw Tiffany Stratton win Money in the Bank, which is the right choice. Tiffany Stratton is the future of the company. She deserves Money in the Bank. Overall, the match was garbage. 1*. And now the main event. A standard 6-Man Tag with the new Bloodline against the team of Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens. Great match. We expected chaos and we got it. The outcome saw Solo Sikoa pin Cody Rhodes to pick up the win for his faction. OK. I actually didn't mind that outcome. Because you had Roman Reigns lose the Undisputed Title to Cody at Wrestlemania. And amid that loss, Solo decided to take over and form his own Bloodline. And it's all to bring the title back to the Bloodline. And at the same time, giving Cody a substantial opponent for Summerslam. The match gets 4*. Money in the Bank 2024 had an above-average card with a great bookend. But the booking decisions were mostly terrible. Overall, the show sucked. 4.5 out of 10.

Kickoff: Axiom def. Nathan Frazer [****1/2] Show: North American Title Match (Dragon Lee def. Fall Henley, Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, and Kelani Jordan) [**1/4] Carmelo Hayes def. Lexis King [**1/2] Men's Iron Survivor Challenge (Trick Williams def. Dijak, Josh Briggs, Tyler Bate, and Bron Breakker) [****1/4] Steel Cage Match (Kianna James def. Roxanne Perez) [DUD] NXT Title Match (Ilja Dragunov (c) def. Baron Corbin) [****] The Good: Axiom VS Nathan Frazer: An excellent kickoff match. So much high-octane offense in this match. The outcome saw Axiom go over. North American Title Match: A solid, if not great opener for the North American Title. The outcome saw a very anticlimactic outcome. Surprising, absolutely. But very anticlimactic. Men's Iron Survivor Challenge: A fantastic Iron Survivor Challenge. Amazing storytelling with Trick Williams. I haven't seen NXT deliver that type of storytelling in a long time. Trick overcoming adversity. Behind with no points and ended up winning the whole thing with 90 seconds left. NXT Title Match: A great main event for the NXT Title. Baron Corbin isn't a great wrestler. So it was up to Ilja Dragunov to lead him to a match, and he exceeded all expectations. The outcome was as expected. The Mid: Women's Iron Survivor Challenge: A sub-par Iron Survivor Challenge. Given the field, you wouldn't expect a great match. Talents like Lash Legend and Kelani Jordan really hampered the match. But the outcome saw Blair Davenport win. Carmelo Hayes VS Lexis King: A straightforward match between these 2. The outcome saw Carmelo Hayes win, which was not the right decision. Lexis should've won this match. Especially being that it was his debut. The Bad: Steel Cage Match: One of the worst Steel Cage Matches of all time. I don't know who the hell booked this match. It had the best storyline going into the show. The intensity. The animosity. The level of storytelling in the feud was on point. But the match was just...abysmal! The ending saw Izzy Dane interfere and cost Roxanne Perez the match. Bullshit! Description: NXT Deadline was a pretty decent show overall. The good stuff was great, and they really helped the show. The Steel Cage Match brought down the show. And it was the best thing going into the show. Overall, it was a decent show. Overall: 7 out of 10

Jay White) [DUD] (-100 for the outcome) The Good: Claudio VS Buddy Matthews: A good, hard-hitting Zero Hour Match. The outcome saw Claudio go over. Trios Match: A decent & fun opener here. I feel like Adam Copeland deserves better than what we're seeing on television. But the match was enjoyable! The outcome saw him, Sting, & Darby Allin go over. Tag Team Title Ladder Match: A fantastic 4-Way Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Straps. There were some sick spots in this one. But in the end, Starks & Big Bill retain the titles. TBS Title Match: A surprisingly decent 3-Way for the TBS Title. A little botchy, yes. But these 3 showed up to work. The outcome saw Julia Hart win the title. Are you kidding me? Julia Hart is still very green, but let's see how she can develop herself as the champion. Will Ospreay is the biggest acquisition to AEW: Will Ospreay is officially All Elite, which means we could see him in Impact at any time. Texas Death Match: One of the most brutal, violent matches in company history! This match has the image of Dreamer VS CW the Hair, Sandman VS Sabu, Funk VS Foley, Penta VS Callihan, etc. The outcome saw Swerve go over for the 2nd time in this feud. Golden Jets VS Young Bucks: A great tag team match, with some big stakes. The outcome saw the Golden Jets defeat The Young Bucks to take their tag team title shots. The Mid: ROH World Title Match: Why in the world do we have a world title being defended on a pre-show? WHY?! SOMEBODY TELL ME... WWWHHHYYY?! The match was nothing out of the ordinary. The outcome saw Kingston retain the ROH World Title. ROH World Tag Team Title Match: A fine match for the ROH World Tag Team straps. MJF was looking for a partner to defend his tag team titles for his injured partner. Samoa Joe wanted to help under 1 condition. He gets a shot at the AEW World Title. The match was fine for what it was, and the outcome was as expected. The Bad: International Title Match: Why did we have to see this again? This match was supposed to be a no-brainer. The outcome was supposed to be Jon Moxley winning back the title. But it was typical AEW booking. TK, why do you have to book the light heavyweights to go over the heavyweights in any big match situation? Women's World Title Match: A bad match for the Women's World Title. But the outcome was fantastic! Timeless Toni Storm wins the title. And I hope I never see Shida challenge for another women's title for a while. AEW World Title Match: This was the most anticipated match on the card. This was the match that we were all excited for the most. Maxwell Jacob Friedman VS Jay White for the AEW World Championship. So BCG takes out Adam Cole on Dynamite. And then they take out the champion early in the night. Adam Cole defends the title on behalf of his tag team partner only to have the champ hover back to the ring on an ambulance truck to defend his title. The match was 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES! And guess who won the match. The one-legged champion. MJF goes into a year as the champion, burying Switchblade in the process. Description: Full Gear 2023 was a mixed bag. You did have a lot of good matches per usual. But you also had some shitty booking in the process... Per usual. The match that suffered the most was actually the main event. Not only was it a shit match, it also had a promising star from New Japan buried in the process. Overall, the show was a mixed bag. Overall: 6 out of 10

Oooooof! This show was the definition of a "drag along show". Only decent matches were Savage/Valentine and Savage/DiBiase. Skip the rest.

IMO Jey must defeat Reigns at Summerslam! Is the only logical option now after what happened here! Then the Bloodline story can fully split in two, with Solo wanting to reeplace Reigns and a slow burner feud between The Usos, maybe a blowoff at manía?

I was wanting Cody to take the Undisputed Title from Roman, but with this outcome, I could see that happening.

I stand by the fact that the MITB MATCH is great, but the FINISH is bullshit.

I can't believe THIS was Dean Ambrose's last WWE PPV. It's been 4 years and he hasn't looked back since!

He would leave the company after Wrestlemania 35. That's what happens when you choose creative over money. Can't blame him.

@@HamsReviews839 I don't blame him either. He needed that creative freedom and, needless to say, he found it.

Other than that God awful Rhodes/Ogogo match, this card was super solid. Definitely helped having a crowd there as the pandemic was starting to calm down
