I no longer live at Norlaggan . That was filmed from the bottom of the garden and I miss that view.

This brings back memories. I travelled on the Sputnik with my granny in the early 60’s from Elgin to Grantown on Spey East to be met by my grandfather who was stationmaster at the station along with Grantown on Spey West. Sad that these lines were closed it would have been great to have seen these lines still operating.

I knew of people who used to use these in the Sixties. Locals called them Sputniks, and told me they were rather unreliable requiring a traditional train to stand in as a replacement. I think they're quite stylish in a 1950's way myself... Wonder if any survive?

Richard Paterson is such a pretentious douche bag. It's very apparent that this man has rehearsed this tasting scenario and has played it out many times onto video.

Love the video, the line should never have been closed. If it had been joined to the main line at Aviemore it might well have survived. I remember it being ripped up to just before Aberlour, in fact it stopped at the playing field, then it was torn up to Craigellachie. Then it all went! It would have been great for the tourist trade now!

No special effects? Wow! It almost looks like a High Dynamic Range photo. And It looks like the auto white balance is blending between lighting conditions very smoothly. I usually turn mine off because it can spoil a shoot. May I ask what kind of camera you are using?

The distilleries are restircted by law on how much they can "give away". For whisky on tours think about Aberlour or Balvenie. They do charge for the tours but then you get 6 or 7 drams (each 25ml). Most distilleries offer paid for tours (including the Macallan) and these tend to offer full measures of whiskies from their range
