My dad, who still does this today, lives The most precise and well thought out life that he could live he was the vice president of VCU Virginia Commonwealth University and he retired from there he was a good father he wasn't around much but he was a good father and he taught me to not be lazy-minded🎉 later in life I developed some problems I made a bunch of wrong choices and I have come a long way since since then I have been clean and sober for almost 14 years now and I live my life in recovery and in that sense of mind you have to be constantly giving yourself positive affirmations and getting up when you don't feel like it and doing the next best or right thing it's hard sometimes when you have mental illness and when you don't feel well but I always come back and I am feeling much better today I am in the middle of inviting as many people I can to my second me or a party actually it's my third on Saturday and I'm hoping that I will have a successful day if not there will be other days and I have gotten the words spread and I will do it with a smile on my face Mickey Parkinson will be right here with me and I look forward to the next podcast thank you very much❤

I'm enjoying your podcasts, but I really hate the term, "Unfair Advantage." Until about two or three weeks ago I was unfamiliar with this term. Hearing it makes one think that someone has an unearned advantage over others. That isn't, apparently, what is meant by this term. I suggest coming up with a different term - such as "earned advantage" to counter the perceived concept that the successful were successful due to some "unfair advantage" but rather gained that success through diligent work, self improvement, being consistent and persistent, etc. These give us a fair advantage because we reap the rewards of the time and effort we put in to our careers, lives, relationships, etc.

Great episode, thank you! I've read the Slight Edge 4 times now, discover new things each time. The first time I read it decided to apply it to my garden: gardening was my favorite way to procrastinate. I set a goal to eat and juice something from my garden daily 2 years later. Started timing myself 20 mns daily on average, and it works! Also when I wanted my business to move faster, gardening was a good way to be reminded of the laws of nature: prep, nurture, sow, nurture, weed, and then, sometimes you get a harvest! Love the Slight Edge philosophy.
