Avoid aiming at the ground. Aim at head or upper chest level. Play DM with a classic a few times to practice your aim and trigger discipline a little.

Tip for improving or starting with a good basic, don’t spray (hold mouse click and shoot multiple shots), instead just shoot 1 or 2 bullets at the time, this is for not losing accuracy. When you aim down sights (scope) your bullets move slower but are more accurate so don't use it for close range but long. Also, try not looking at the floor.

dont right click all the time, only when the enemies are far. dont shoot while walking. youre wayyyy less accurate. for phantom, hold down your left click and aim for the head. For vandal, click in short bursts for more accuracy.
