I had an old blackpanel twin from the 60s, with EV SROs, back in the days when I played in bands with roadies and 100 watts was considered the bare minimum (remember all those walls of Marshall stacks, and you expect to be taken seriously with a Twin Reverb???) Looking back, it was a fantastic amp, no doubt, but only if someone else was lugging it to the gig ...

"Hey You" was originally recorded with a "high-strung" guitar...i.e., the E, A, D, and G strings were swapped out for lighter guage strings and tune up an octave...

A Strat through a VOX AC30 can sound too bright sometimes

That’s when you understand you’re playing is so important for the sound. I have this exact set up myself and I don’t sound so good for sure

Pink Floyd still relevant in 2024 and beyond. Would someone be able to recommend the settings I could use for Comfortably Numb with the Dark Side Pedal please?

9 years too late. I just got one and I cant find anywhere in the description or comments: what is your eq setting towards gainier stuff?

Same. Not usually a fan of gold hardware but, on this guitar? Perfection!

Yup...THAT is the sound I remember from the late 1960s. I was playing a Vox Super Beatle, doing blues rock like Savoy Brown. THEN, I heard THAT sound AND the Sunn Model T....and, no more solid state for me! I am 72, still rockin with a DSL and a very unnoticed Crate VFX5212 with Tone Tubby greens. Playing a LOT of ZZTop, Skynyrd, 38 Special, Blackfoot. We'll have Brown Sound all around, please.😊

it is harder to appreciate tube screamers if you dont play live. the TS doesnt blow you away when playing at home . however live that mid level boost is huge in getting through the mix. i have played many shows excited to use a new pedal and haflway in im using my 808. it just mixes well with the rest of the music.

That tone during the “Mistreated” section...c’est magnifique!
@nicodemuspapadopoulos47082 ай бұрын
Nope. It's just a delay with harsh fuzz and no real articulation. Too many delay repeats. Play louder live and back off on the fuzztone. The "us and them" FX are too exaugurated. I pass on this box.

Hey noodles , do you know any songs . or do you just sit in you room with multiple marshall amps and noodle

This man is a very good player, and knows perfectly how to dial the effects. What else ? Yeah you need a delay pedal after the Dark Side, but the amount of sound this Keeley pedal delivers makes you save a LOT of money if you would go with individual pedals.. no question

I bought this amp in like new condition. Played it through the normal channel and I didn't love it. It got dirty too early. I changed to the bright channel and played with and without my mini board for 2 weeks. Now I LOVE it. I think it was never played and speakers and tubes need breaking time.

I absolutely hate position two and four on a Strat five-way switch, fit an original three-way switch and sound like Leo intended the Strat to sound like.

I have this pedal bought in NY in 2016. It is simply brilliant. You are obviously going to use in conjunction with other gear so the H9 comments are ridiculous. Buy it !
