I was a navy armorer. We had colts that were 20+ years old when 9/11 happened we got lots of Brand new FNs the colts were way more accurate even being almost shot out.

First, good on you for admitting you didn’t put on work gloves. It is very off putting when folks put on the uniform of us working folks trying to sell themselves as us dirt walkers. Second, years back when my son was 2 and my daughter was a few months old we had a big earthquake here. We are high enough up the hill that it would have to be a big wave to hit us, but the tsunami warning went off and I put the kids, food, milk and dog in the truck and headed up the hill without driving over or under a bridge only to discover that in my rush I forgot to put my edc in the holster I was wearing. Good thing there was a similar pistol in my rifle bag that I didn’t forget that fit my holster. Sharing our failures and how we overcame them only sprinkles wisdom on the community. Thank you, we are all human and mistakes happen.

These guys are full of BS. I "built" three AR's for prairie dog hunting using Bear Creek Arsenal barrels and bolt carrier groups. With well over 1,000 rounds through each, I've had no issues. I'm using a suppressor so the BCG's get filthy dirty. I just carry 2 extra BCG's and swap when the rifle stops feeding. Dissing budget parts just demonstrates that these guys either don't know what they are talking about or they're getting paid.
