Ironically Robin Smith returned back to Perth, Australia the scene of his best innings in 1992 World Cup, to live permanently after his playing days with England Cricket were over. Also his team mates in this world cup Graeme Hick (Brisbane) and Dermott Reeve (Sydney) also went and settled in Australia after their playing days serving English Cricket were over.

Only if someone could've managed him a bit better what a waste of a dynamic player on England's part.

Amazing player. Disgusting the way he was treated. The great Shane Warne said he was the batsman he feared bowling to the most

Lillee and Thomson made life miserable for Graham Gooch on His Test Debut and he got a Pair.😢😢

Kiran More Dropped a few Simple Dolly Catches. Otherwise Gooch Couldn't have made 333. However Indian Cricket Team took Revenge when England under Graham Gooch's Captaincy Visited India. Gooch Couldn't Score a Half Century in Test Cricket and One Dayers. Indian Spinners made life miserable for Graham Gooch. Gooch's Dream of Becoming the Highest Run Getter in Test Cricket came to an Abrupt End. As per ICC Records it is Sachin Tendulkar Sir holds the World Record of Scoring 51 Test Hundreds and Maximum Runs in Test Cricket and One Dayers.

Graham Gooch's Form Deteriorated Drastically During England's Tour of India. England were Defeated 3-0 in the Test Series & One Dayer's Also. Better Luck Next Life Graham Gooch.😢😢

Listen to this test on TMS on my pocket radio back in 2000. Loved Thorpe's heroics with the bat in the gloom of Karachi. Thank you Thorpey for the wonderful memories. 🏏

Back here today to reminisce over one of Thorpe's most remarkable innings. One of my all-time favourite players and probably my first cricketing "hero" having started watching in the mid 90s. RIP to a legend.
