Looking for a copy of the B side of this record “Sunflower” by The Red House. My brother co-wrote and was on this recording Tom Durham. Would love to share that side with family as well! Great memories! Thanks for sharing this song as well!

@deborahjaquess1389 I was the drummer for Red House. I went to school with Tommy also. The guitarist for Red House Ric Gonzalez has some copies. I'll contact him and have him get in touch with you HERE.

Ethereal sounding comes to my mind with the reverberating backing as was common place in 67 and why not. The stuff dreams are made of!. Love this one! Rog. Pacific sunset records

The punk/garage/ punk tunes of the authentic psychedelic tunes can't be beat. This tune is great far out early psych that has a 1965ish sound. Bet if they played this on the airwaves , the music of the wrap boring hip hop would fall by the wayside.Evan the RnB of the 60s is way better than 2days!

Atila Records. Founded by Johnny Paris of Johnny & The Hurricanes in Toledo, Ohio in 1964.
@phantomblott17 ай бұрын
Could it be that J. Paris is the one doing the singing on this? It sure sounds like him. The flip side is an instrumental called: On the Line, it doesn't sound like J. and the Hurricanes playing. On the next Atila label 214, J. and the Hurricanes play: I Love You / Judy's Moody.
@robertorick63837 ай бұрын
@@phantomblott1 Johnny Paris did form the label in 1964, so it could be possible that it's Johnny, unless there was another "J. Paris" in Johnny's family. Johnny was more known for his saxophone playing than his singing, but it is possible he tried to sing on this one. As for the song that doesn't sound like The Hurricanes, Johnny could have been using studio musicians.

Thanks for the reply, just so you know there is a long obituary on Johnny that would be of interest to you or anyone interested. Google Johnny Paris obituary Ohio, and click on his obituary below "The Guardian" heading. Very interesting write up, enjoy.

This is the actual band in the photo not the studio musicians. They were very talented and thankfully at least had a few of their songs featured.
