Outstanding little gun. Have you done anything to the barrel to get better bullet fit? I have the exact same setup but get terrible accuracy because the 32 S&W bullets are undersized for the barrel. I'm looking at using .32 hollow based bullets to see if that helps any.

It's a up close gun , Not a target gun . So at get off me distance. It's plenty accurate for minute of body lol

So, how can you shoot .45 from a .44?....are the tolerances so close that it does not matter?

No Cap and Ball guns was called 44 back when they was first made because the bullet was a heeled bullet and modern ammo is not heeled and uses internal lube bullets. So 44 caliber of this era is really 45 caliber of today . Hope that helps you understand

Those adapters seem way too short. Wouldn't the bullet have way too much room to "bounce" off the bore of the shotgun?? Plus, it's a smooth bore ( no rifling).

They won't strike the barrel, but absolutely have limited accuracy. I have the 8", rifled version in 22lr and 9mm. I also have the 20ga 3" adapter. In my opinion, that's the best combo.

No the Addaptor is a rifled Addaptor. Just like a 2" barrel revolver . So the bullet never touches the smooth bore shotgun barrel

Now I have 45acp 44mag 357mag 9mm & 22lr all in a 12g platform. I think it's setup about the best you can get it .

Actually quite well . They are rifled , So its equivalent to a 2 inch barrel pistol. 25 30 yards no problem. I don't think I would shoot at something further then that .

Yes I Did load them . I used Unique powder and my own cast lead 200gr bullet out of a Lee mold
