Did I miss it... did you say what your "First Impressions" of the USA were?????

First time viewer to your channel. I subbed and will follow along now. Did you know, on the Oreo packages, you rip the top open and it peels back and then you can close it back to seal it back up... Versus just opening the package at the end the way you did. Just a tip for the future. Also.... ALL flavors of Oreo's are better when dunked in to a glass of milk! LOL :)

If you are road tripping in the US you MUST invest in a cooler. They are expensive and they definitely make the food experience much better. Who wants to drink warm coffee??

in the usa there is 2 kinds of pig in a blanket depending on where you are from. east coast would be sausage wrapped in pancake i belive. in northern California it can ether be breakfast sausage wrapped in pancakes or for lunch hotdog wrapped in a pastry type dough. was very confusing for me growing up because my grandparents pig in a blanket was cabbage leaves stuffed with a rice and minced pork meat in a tomato sauce. which was very good to. my grandpa on my dads side was German and his wife was Russian.
@CezandGaz5 күн бұрын
That’s interesting! All 3 of those types of pigs in blankets sound delicious. For us it’s sausage wrapped in bacon 😋

Btw for the oreos, there is a pull tab on the top/face of the packaging so you can reseal them for storing. Just dont pull the tab all the way off though.

It's so funny this is what happens when Euros come to the US without planning at all. Drive through New York and not go anywhere and stop in Mt. Pocono. WTF??? Akron then Camp America which I have never heard of. This ought to be fun.

Blue corn chips are made from blue corn. Corn comes in many different colors and this colorful corn is commonly called Indian corn. Indian being another name for native Americans. This corn can be red, black, brown, blue and many other shades. It is used in Southwestern and Mexican cooking. Of course, the common corn is yellow in America. All types of corn are used for tortillas and tortilla chips. If any of you know some Spanish, it will come in handy while ordering in Mexican restaurants, because all the dishes have Spanish names and we Americans tend to use the Spanish pronunciation when ordering. We do the same with French names in Louisiana. We prefer to keep all the native pronunciations of place names and foods.

Americans are inevitably accused of eating hamburgers morning, noon and night, and only wake up so we can gorge on more hamburgers. This belief is buried quite deep in European cultures where it's always fashionable to criticize anything American, and the first thing trotted out is our slave, master relationship to the hamburger. Yes, yes, yes, your oh so right; we stand guilty as a people, and wear this dreadful fact around our necks like an anchor, in the shape of a hamburger. There, the British, and French have both been satisfied. To the British, who know their ship doesn't stink, to Monsieur Savoir Faire, who generously congratulates himself every day for being French, therefor able to eat the best food in the world daily. But, do Americans eat anything else? The answer may surprise some who are entrenched behind the characcature of Americans. For starters our population is composed of people from all corners of Europe, and they brought all their favorite recipes with them. That was just the first wave of immigration, as millions upon millions from around the world have come, and brought their dishes with them too. So yes we eat hamburgers, but probably enjoy a greater variety of dishes than you'll find in most countries. That being said, I think I'll fire up the could and bar b que some ribeyes tonight, and use some Rudies bar b que sauce I got in San Antonio.

With the rest of the daikon, which is actually a radish, you can slice them thinly, then roast them. They become chips, or crisps, as you call them. Greetings from NY!

Twinkies were delicious back in the '50s and '60s. Light, fluffy sponge cake filled with REAL whipped cream. Modern Twinkies are horrible. They are now a piece of rubber tubing filled a gritty, glue like substance of an alien flavor. Somehow, they survive on their original excellence.
