Drove through there just last week. Beautiful small town not a speck of trash or graffiti anywhere, no ghetto blasting music or homeless, landscaping is manicured. Oh, and people weren't all tatted up. I live in San Diego....there ya' go.

I looked this up because in 1986, Hands Across America went through the town of Sanders.

Well, just read the history how it happened back in 1800 s when they used topographic equipment of those days to draw a border line. No google maps or 3 d computers back then ….

Also famous for a bar called the Ski Inn (water skiing, get it?). The bar bills itself as "the lowest elevation bar in the Western Hemisphere."

Interesting town. Now inhabited mostly by Mexican agricultural workers and their families who work in the Brawley area. Suppose there are still some seasonal residents who stay a month of so at a time. Famous for it's abandoned manufactured homes that need to be fixed up.

"There's efforts to save it." You bet there are! In 2020, there's still an active fight to save it despite all the public ignorance. On YT see Salton Sea Walk and EcoMedia Compass.

The North Shore Yacht Club... you see the sign Community Center now, as the boats are long gone. It was built by a notable architect and was restored during the Obama administration with federal funds in an effort to provide a (revived) resource for area residents. The Sea is still so beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. ❤️

At second .23 is where me and my wife got married on March 21st, 1980 at 3 pm. The rock we got married on is now in the Pacific Ocean. It was the size of a car with a big flat part and went into the drink between 1999 and 2005.

Hello, In what part of town did you live? Curious of the winters? How strong are the storms? I'm in Utah and we can get a real winter snow storm. I'm looking at the rural parts of Minden.

Kcmo is not divided from KCK by the Missouri River except further north. The border is in the west Bottoms there.
