I cannot TELL you how happy I was to find this video- I have been struggling trying to work through the flow on how to do this exact thing- thank you so much! I wish there was more info out there to help Maschine users with the proper flow- because it’s confusing.

It would really help to show the sample you're playing as you play it. You keep playing the next sample as we only see the beat structure for the previous beat. it would help much more to see what you're playing as you play it

Way behind here in the comments but I was wondering if you done a tutorial about how to get these tracks into your DAW? Thanks for the great video.

Does this only work in MK3? I have MK2 and ever since the update to 2.18 I can no longer arrange my scenes by dragging and droping.

Duke.. this video took me ALL THE WAY THERE. Over the years i've spent so much time, and money (buying useless plugs).. and now, NI got the shit sleeping right under the hood.. that works seamlessly way better. It allows you to PERFORM your effect, and not have to manually write it in (on some rocket science sh!t). Yesssssss.. & your instruction is clear. you do it in a way all heads can get it. Much appreciated/i would give you a million likes if i could (i was already subscribed Lol).. Time to have some fun now UPDATE: i know this video was made 3 years ago.. So i would just like to add.. When you want to RECORD what you do on Perform FX. you can now do it without doing all that routing stuff.. Just hit the buttons "Shift" + "Auto" (to put it in the automation mode).. & then "Shift + Record".. and do your effect on the Performance Strip. & it will be recorded. You'll hear it when you playback.. That will give you both hands to work with (instead of holding that "Auto" Button the whole time) Straight up Boss, you got me flying with this.. For years i've been wrestling with finding a better way then writing that sh!t in.. & here we go. I've been on NI's Maschine since Mk1.. and their constant updates can be a headache.. but they do get some sh!t sooooo right. Maschine for life, baby.!!!

Can you set up the mk3 like an SP404mk2 - meaning a loop on each pad with each loop/pad having its own setting such as loop, one shot, trigger?

My problem is I come up with a lot of drum variations and fills. It's getting really frustrating. I started taking what I made in the Maschine and working it in Reaper. But when it comes to drums, Maschine excels at beat creation there. Best to make all the drums there then export to the DAW. My main issue was just I was figuring out the structure I want still in Reaper. Guess I'll have to figure the structure out in Maschine first. It's much harder to be piecing in drum fills and stuff after exported.
