I am currently reading it. The beginning was good but now I'm in the middle and I'm bored, I don't feel a connection between Iris and her new friend and I don't really care about Iris' goal that she has set for herself on this journey, I just want to find out the mystery behind her brother and I want her romance to blossom. Maybe more magic involved would be cool as well, there isn't enough magic in this book.

I don’t think it’s super high. There is one scene in the second book that is slightly higher but it’s a good mix of love and war. ❤ perfect for people who love enemies to lovers I really loved it

I don’t really recommend Billy Summers, the book is all over the place and it involves a completely young female character getting Stockholm syndrome for the older male character (that male character being Billy Summers) it also kind of describes the said female character's r@pe, and she’s grossly used in a lot of sexual situations, like I think I remember her being told to lift up her skirt for another guy

Took a break from fantasy to dive into King this year. Misery, Pet Sematary, and recently just finished Salem’s Lot. Loved all of these! Misery though for some reason is still my favorite.

( spoiler warning ( duh ) ) I am a month too late, but assuming you haven't read the second book ( which, if you don't read, you will absolutely miss out on ), I'll answer your questions below. Keegan, Attie, Marisol, and Lilac all end up okay, and the second book is 100% worth reading. Honestly, I can probably never move on from this duology.

Hardcore fans will release King isn’t a horror writer at all. He’s a writer that just writes horrific characters and thrilling plots. People just seem to levitate towards that genre via his name because they’ve only read 2-4 books that are a little scary. When you read 20+ books of his you’ll realise he’s a master craft of the field of writing. ✍️ It’s actually hard to pinpoint what sort of writer he is but he’s definitely not strictly a horror writer. I’d say it’s definitely more towards a thriller writer!

Wow, so many books!! Just For The Summer 😍 That was my personal favorite in the series but Part of Your World is a close second! I absolutely loved One True Loves, such an emotional read! I was a little underwhelmed by Lessons in Chemistry unfortunately, but I know that’s a minority opinion, haha, so glad you liked it! It Happened One Summer was way too spicy for me, I was cringing so much while listening 😂😬 And I agree completely about PWMOV/the ranking of Emily Henry’s books, not a favorite of mine but still good. Really enjoyed The Silent Patient! And I read 8 books in August and my favorites were two re-reads (Pride and Prejudice and Remarkably Bright Creatures) and Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson. I also gave The Song of Achilles 4.5 stars, haha I liked it more than you did!
