I didn't vote in the poll as I couldn't decide one way or the other. We had one about 15 years ago but had to give it up. Back on the list now for one but will probably have to wait years ☹️ fingers crossed you get yours.

This is maybe a silly comment, but I've just started the video and didn't want to forget - unless it's significantly cooler outside, I've actually had more luck cooling my space by turning the fans out to pull hot air outside vs cool air in! Hope the weather is kinder to you today!

Do you work in RGB on Procreate and then pass it for CMYK on Photoshop when you want to print the work? I always struggle with that part! The owl is so cute :)

I really like what you said at the end. Sometimes linking up with a publisher, say , can end up being a ball and chain and in the end they’re calling the shots and taking most of the money anyway. I tend to go with my instincts too. I used to dive in before but now I sit back much more.

Monet (and others in history) used an umbrella to prevent the glare of the sun on his camvas. I saw recently antique one, the twin brother , probably of the one he used - it has a spike on one end for sticking it into the ground, and white canvas top. I wonder, how many servants he took with him to haul all his stuff 😅

Thank you. Generous of you to share these moments of planning and strategizing. Self employment is wonderful in a lot of ways - but also a tremendous challenge at times regarding self motivation and prioritizing. For context, this is my 25th year of being a self employed (fine art) painter. {not a house painter - which is also real work - but not what I do!! :) } Thank you again!!

Regarding the heat in the room, I would suggest that you put a bowl of cold water in front of the fan (even put a frozen bottle of water in the bowl so that it remains cooler for a longer period of time) so that you get some cool air. It also helps if you can open the window during the night and then shut the blind during the morning when you say that it's the worst sun in the room.

I really need to tidy mine, too. I just can't focus enough, or pin down where to start, maybe? It's overwhelming with my art room, and I hate clutter, but it's also my comfort zone; being spread out everywhere (I guess). This might be the motivation though, to at least tidy it a bit. I just got back into crochet as well, so my new hoard of yarn has taken over the room lol! Anywho though, thank you for your daily-ish vlogs. They always make my day to see them on the home page :) I also really need to get back to my daily sketches... but I've been crocheting up a storm due to hyperfocus. Hurrah, a garden tour! That kale looks fantastic! I've heard it tastes better after the frost, have you tried ? A wildlife pond is amazing, love that you left grasses grow around it, insects need place to hide, and manicured lawns do nothing for them. Agree, that everything feels a bit behind this year, I fear my tomatoes won't have enough time to ripen, I should have probably grown kale instead!😂 Adorable frogs!
