Great video! The foggy atmosphere was beautiful.. surprised how well your cats and chickens seem to get along 😊 food looked really good!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching our video. The kittens have been sleeping in with the chickens at night since they were very small to protect them from nightly predators and they sleep cozy under the heat lamp. So far everyone on the farm is getting along peacefully with the exception of our cattle dog.

@ModernPrairieHomestead How are the Toyo's AT3's? Similar to the Firestone Dest XT? Are the Toyo's louder?
@ModernPrairieHomestead6 күн бұрын
The Toyos are a little bit louder but otherwise a good ride. I haven't had snow yet so I will have to double back on the winter performance. Only issue is that I haver had to balance the Toyo's 2x. Hopefully they won't need a 3rd!

I know all ppl are experts in all things, but this is my wheelhouse. Heres what my family Has done for generations. Dont use an undercoating that gets hard. Like you said, it can rust under and go to poo. Heres what we do, get you 1 quart of used oil, 1 quart of trans fluid, 1 tube of grease, and 2 wax gaskets for the toilet. No plastic, just wax. Put all in an old pot, heat it up, and either make a sprayer with a harbor freight spray gun kit or buy for $50. We've always knocked off the heavy rus and phosphoric aci. We used the 60% stuff. What u buy is about 15, 25%. We have sprayed this used oil, trans, wax, grease stuff all under, in logging machinery, tractors, cars, trucks, etc. I helped a buddy redo a bed on a old chevy truck and he forgot to do repair and so i had to clean it off. Wire brush, heat, boiler hot water pressure washer. Laquer thinner, Nothing would work. It just smears. 😂 ened ip draining some gas fro.a tank we removed, scraped as best i could, scrubbed it with a wire brush and scotch brite, and kept spraying with that gas and hot water pressure washer after hours of that it was finally clean. He was impressed cause the mix sounds crazy. If u think about it, have u ever seen rust where any metal was that a machine leaked on? No. Now mix all of those, and it's a hwll of a mix. You can use mineral oil also. Boiled linseed oil, etc. You can use what u like. I've been doing this for ppl for years. There is nothing wrong with your way at all. I do about same using acid, then a product called mastercaot made for stuff like bridges. Or implement paint like john deere black. Then use this over that paint. Lasts a lifetime. And the used oil, trans fluid costs u nothing. Im sure you have a tube of grease and can get wax gaskets or bees wax easily. Have a good 1 bud. Also drill some holes if u dont have access to cab corners, rockers and pour in some melted Vaseline or mineral oil to keep them rust free and in doors after cleaning and plugging drains. Let sit a week driving round then drain and savw for next year.

how much poolish do I add when making bread dough. new to this. thank you
@ModernPrairieHomesteadАй бұрын
I have read you can substitute poolish for sourdough starter at a 1-1 ratio - this bread that I made in my video is with a sourdough starter base!
@stevep2325Ай бұрын
@@ModernPrairieHomestead my question might have been confusing. I would like to know what amount of poolish do you take out of that jar and put it in the dough you are making. Everyone says how to make it but no amount you put into the dough you are making. does this help, ty/
