Hi Abigale - a couple yrs late 😉 what kind of a speed (bpm) are your backing tracks? The speed of your tracks really works for me and I’m trying to find a similar backing track on KZbin. Thanks, great video, great teacher. Really clicked for me and I was able to mo-Jo along with your backing tracks in each key pretty quick.

Thank you Abigail. I heard of you in a video by Joanne Gaines,... My Kind Of Night, with Charlie Peacock. I loved the song, so I had to look you up. On my, I love your voice and all your songs. I have a concert ukulele, and about 45 years ago I taught myself to play guitar, but haven't kept up with it. My husband gave me a baritone ukulele for Christmas, as I told him maybe I would enjoy having a baritone, as the fingering is like the guitar. (My husband is a great musician on stringed instruments) Anyway now I am looking up your videos to learn how to play. You do a wonderful job of explaining everything so clearly. Thank you so much for all you do.

Hey Abigail! I love your videos. I'm moving over from the traditional uke to the baritone; thank goodness it's the same fingering. I respectfully have one ask, if instead of putting the notes up one at a time during the play along, show them how you show us when you're showing us the notes to play, this way we can anticipate and prepare for the chord changes. Similar to sheet music. I enjoy you videos and appreciate you taking the time to read this and the time to make the video. Keep it up!

Loving your approach to playing and teaching. I just picked up a baritone Uke and love the jazz styles you are presenting. Hoping for more of your challenging songs like this one. I really appreciate the jazz chords on the bari. Thanks Abigail! ❤

Thank goodness someone has finally got the hint and started playing some jazz on a baritone uke. My short fingers have prevented me from getting skilled at jazz on a guitar, but the short scale and almost 10mm spacing of the baritone uke strings have made it all possible for me. Now all need to do is re-invent those chords and apply them to 4 strings.

I am thrilled to find you. I love your sweet voice. I have played baritone for several years . I only taught myself I love every song you play your soft easy jazz. I play with 30 baritones for a church going to retirements homes here in Texas. Glad you had a good experience in Houston with your mission group. Have a great day, I will playing with you.

Well done…delighted by your voice…and love the chord visuals instead of the more typical method of showing chords finger by finger which is so boring if you already know the chord.. Thank you..

4:45 that is **NOT** a C minor
@AbigailFlowersMusic2 ай бұрын
Correct! As you’ll see in the time stamps, it’s more of a C minor 6. The notes are Eb, A, and C. You could call that an A diminished chord, but in context it will sound like a C minor 6.

Lyrics from your other video. I hope you don't mind. (My wife's name is Melissa and we celebrated our 25th anniversary this year.) Honey, what is sweeter than the sound of your name? Earth echoes the refrain, the refrain Mountains look up to you; trees sway in time Birds sing the miracle that you are mine Honey, what is truer than your voice in my ear? Sweetest sound I'll ever hear Your smile is a symphony and the warmth of wine Darlin', stay with me and say you'll be mine Don't forget, don't delay, darlin' stay Honey, when I met you, how could I have known How your hand fits with my own? It's one of those things, too good to be true It's just one, but I want many with you, with you

Hi from Dublin, Ireland.I've just discovered your channel while checking out the baritone uke and i love it you have a lovely way of explaining things and so calming , I've been playing concert and tenor for about 4years now and doing quite well I'm in a ukulele group and do a lot of gigs, I played a baritone in a music store in town and loved the tone it makes but the thoughts of having to change chord shapes is putting me off, but now after watching your video i feel like I could give it go, i have now subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more videos. Thanks for sharing.
