Wow, they sound like the bells at Westminster Abbey! I'm impressed that these 2 famous churches are using the same sound of the bells

If not the same cast, then tuned the same way. They were designed to resemble Westminster Abbey as close as possible.

I hope Washington Cathedral does Bell Toll #1 when IF EVER Her Majesty The Queen comes! She was supposed to come to honor her twice-removed cousin President George H.W. Bush but she had other important schedules already booked at that timing. So her son; His Royal Highness Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales came instead. Which is still very honorable from The Royal Family! 🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇲

It must take some remarkable people to accomplish this! They must not only have the perfect timing of singers and musicians, and be able to concentrate solely on when they are to come in, without being thrown off by the timing of their neighbors. ( having done plenty of round singing and chorus, I can attest to the fact that many people are incapable of this, lol. They will immediately start to sing what their neighbor is singing and constantly throw everything off). They must also have , I would think, an accountant like, mathematical type of mind, to keep track of the permutations, and a prodigious memory. It isn't as if they can look at sheet music. Very, very impressive to me, and I think their skills and talents are underrated. The most beautiful set of bells would be worth nothing, without people of consummate skill to ring them.

Yes! And the amazing thing is that they also served a purpose. When they are blessed a special blessings to exorcise spirits is said, and so when they were rung it was to defeat and eliminate spirits of the air. Lucifer was prince of the power of this air, so they were not online rung for beauty, or to keep time, or make announcements but to defeat evil. Very interesting I think.
