It's just like a bank account in reverse. If you put money in an account at a bank that offers interest (either checking with interest or a savings account) the bank will pay you interest FOREVER and will still owe you the full amount of your initial deposit. When someone loans you money they expect you to pay them interest. If you ONLY pay them interest and never pay back the money you actually borrowed, why are you surprised that you still owe the money you borrowed? If you want to not owe money, you have to pay the interest and ALSO pay back the money you borrowed.

I'm just now getting my first credit card and was actually just considering doing this exact same ATM technique to buy car parts for my side hustle and build credit at the same time. Good to know that they charge interest day one otherwise I'd be in for an unpleasant surprise on my credit card bill... You legitimately just saved me a ton of future trouble. I can't thank you enough dude.

Thanks Amy! Ya it's probably a good idea to get quotes every now and then to see if there are better deals. I found Progressive was always the cheapest with 2 of us on it. Once we added the 3rd person Geico of all places was. haha...

@@creatrixinc yes. It’s the best mathematical method of paying it off. But the snowball has a higher success rate. So I like a combo of both to have the best success and save the most.

Checking is great. but make sure you have enough under /uninsured coverage. A family member of mine was recently in a very serious medivac to hospital accident that was not fault of his. The other driver had very little coverage (he had the state minimum required amounts (a joke). Luckily my family member had $500K of under/uninsured because he need it. He was in a rehabilitation facility for over a month and has months of therapy, a rod in his leg and arm.

Very interesting suggestion. A ton of people in my city aren't even insured. You get in an accident with them, and they run. I personally witnessed the police take the license plate off a car that was at fault in an accident. after the police left, a car rolled up, pulled out some paper work and slapped another license plate on the vehicle and off they drove together. HINT: these people came across the Rio Grande through Texas.

I always contact a broker and they find the cheapest rate.
@MikeHobbs
@MikeHobbs 19 күн бұрын
@@WisdomChronicle ya you can do that too. But the last one I tried that with didn’t give me the lowest cost for some reason. Their quote was higher because they didn’t have the deductibles the way I wanted it. So I just found it easier to check the rates myself vs having someone do it wrong. It was super easy too without talking to anyone.

Wow, you really get down to the nitty gritty of saving funds. Most people wouldn't do the work of researching something as seemingly small as their health products. What I love about this video is that people have something that they can actually implement. Thanks for always being that great example as well as showing REAL tips...

As a matter of fact just by watching this video I was amazed at how much just from the thoughts of what I’m spending on various little items added up to at least $100 a month and I have more to go through! Thanks Mike
