I don’t think Baba ever studied the works of philosophy and literature that he frequently referred to. How did he know what was in them?

During the initial years, Baba was in close contact with perfect masters of His time. Remember " Things that really matter are given and received in silence" and Baba might have "learnt" during this period. Let us not confuse this learning with our usual methods of learning !

More pressing than Baba's spelling mistakes is how could he make such wildly inaccurate comments about Sri Ramakrishna, saying Ramakrishna didn't allow music or give experiences, when all the accounts of RK have him singing and dancing with his devotees and giving them experiences? Baba also said Ramakrishna was a perfect master, so according to his teaching RK will never incarnate again, but RK said he would incarnate again in 100 years after his death, they can't both be right.

Wish I could quote the origin of this example, and wish I knew if it is true, where a soul trying to eliminate sanskaras in order to achieve God Realization is like trying to eliminate a huge pile of straw, one straw at a time, but each time one destroys a straw, at least one more sanskara is formed! Until the Perfect Master comes along and incinerates the entire pile in an instant!

Strange perhaps, but having studied His life for 50+ years, and meeting those close to Him throughout His life, I am convinced He is not deluded, lying, or exaggerating. The benefit to me over my lifetime is tremendous. No serious seeker should overlook the opportunity to examine the life and work of Meher Baba.
