My great grandfather is from here. Liborio Maselli. My grandfather and his siblings were born in Italy, but I’m uncertain as to what city. The whole family immigrated to the USA in the 1920’s. ❤

Thanks for sharing these lovely memories 🤩 You should definitely visit Frosolone. Where about in the States did your family immigrate?

I shooted the video around 5:30 pm. Believe it or not: I've seen it more crowded! Sâo Paulo is one of the largest metropolises in the world. There are always people around 😊

This is beautiful! Two requests: use captions to identify what we are seeing (as in the first location was unique but without recognition) & where (street or place names), & a map of your journey (could be an initial static image for a few seconds to make a screenshot, one that’s in a corner or a dynamic overlay that comes up when the scenery or direction changes, or some combination😉)

Thanks a lot for the input! It's greatly appreciated! I'm jazzed you're digging the content. I've started adding captions to fill you in on what's what, and I've got a map feature in the works too. Keep an eye out for that! By the way, if you're enjoying the journey, don't forget to hit subscribe and share the video with your pals. Your support means a lot!

Rio de Janeiro discovered in 1497 by the *father of America, *Americo Vespucio* who arrived with the expedition on 01/01/1502 at the Sugar Loaf cove (Dog Face Mountain) and Botafogo (Le Laque French name) and called land of Rio de Janeiro and in 1503 we began to be called Cariocas by the Indians and by everyone.

Ghost town? I don't think so.
@tiny.breaks Жыл бұрын
Not a proper ghost town, so far. It will probably be in a few years time, though. Thanks for your comment ❤

Frosolone has been in this state for decades: young people left the town for other countries and Italian cities where there were more economic prospects. Nevertheless, Frosolone looks a much nicer place these days than it did back in the 1960s and '70s, and the people don't look poor as they did then..@@tiny.breaks

@@peter-pi8bc totally agree with you. Unfortunately, Italy has been facing this phenomenon for a long time now and the results will be having more and more "ghost cities". Tourism, though, is benefiting from it. Thanks again for your comment, it's really much appreciated!
