Hi, thank you! This was the chamber king, I didn't see any other rooms during my visit. The room was great, I love that it had two separate areas, but the view from this regular room wasn't anything too remarkable. It overlooked a flat rooftop and some construction. The view from the rooftop pool was very nice so the rooftop rooms must have better views, I would think!

Thanks so much for your comment, I was just back there today and enjoyed it as much as last time! Nothing majorly creepy, but I did hear some bumps and knocks throughout the night and my hall was pretty empty. If there's anything there, it felt like caring older lady energy - I was solo and felt comfortable the whole time.

Sure! Moorgate doesn’t have a front desk/isn’t staffed like a traditional hotel, although there was someone there when I checked in since they were first opening up shop. I got my front door code and room code about 30 minutes before check-in (4:00pm). The main entrance is a bit hidden, it’s between a coffee shop on the corner and a mirrored wall of another business, but you put your code in right there and then can go to the elevators. There’s also a side entrance, this is the tricky part, that faces the pubs/coffee shops across a little park and by a big bank. You can go in there as well, but there’s stairs instead and it’s a lot to manage with luggage! The front entrance is on Moorgate, the side is on London Wall. Check-out, I think they sent me an email and I clicked the link when I left to officially check-out. It’s all very contactless. There wasn’t much in terms of extras/amenities outside of a normal hotel room - housekeeping is once per week, but I had more than everything I needed. It’s very close to the Moorgate station and also Bank if you want to take the tube to Waterloo and catch the national rail out to Hampton Court Palace. There’s a Starbucks, Pret-A-Manger, M&S all within 5 minutes, and St. Paul’s is about a 10 minute walk. London Wall, Barbican, and that sky walk attraction they just opened kind of recently are right there. A St. Paul line bus passes right down London Wall. Headed to St. Paul’s, there’s a ton of restaurants, shopping, and there’s an M&S food kind of across from it. I wasn’t sure about staying in that area because it can seem kind of far from more touristy things, but it was perfect!

Hi! I’m not 100% sure if they’re all on the 4th floor, I think they may be, they’re separate buildings so some may face the kind of grotto area, some face the courtyard, and some may face the surrounding streets. The pool sits behind the pool bar, which is great because it’s more private, but I couldn’t see it from my room or even sitting on the porch of San Lorenzo. It’s tucked behind the bar and has lovely big plants all around it. The courtyard is the center of the hotel buildings, the pool bar is at one end of it, and the pool is behind that. I hope that makes sense! Enjoy your staycation!

Hi! At Yotel, all the check in was done at the kiosk. I don't remember if I had to scan my id, I think I just did the confirmation # to check in.

Hi! There’s a smell to it, but not a chemical dye smell. It smells like the almond and avocado oil in it.

Hi! I think ultimately it was because I wasn’t employed by a US-based company for which I would be working remotely and instead am self-employed. Also, because I just missed the cut-off for the bank account requirement. I could have opened the bank account and appealed, but I didn’t feel comfortable doing that with 10k and my accounts already reflected how much I had in savings in my US bank.

@@ByMickAudrey You didn't opened a Bank account in Portugal and transferred money to it? is that the reason or I'm getting it wrong ?

Yes, had I opened the bank account to prove funds - I probably would have gotten it

I would guess a PT bank account, but I would double check because it’s been about a year since I applied

Hi! Yes, I did - I printed out statements from my bank. At the time, I was showing over 10k which is the amount I was told I needed to show at the time

I’m not 100%, but since they started promoting it for digital nomads I think the monthly income counts, as well as passive income. I’m quite certain had I opened the bank account and gotten the NIF, they would have approved my visa. I should have done it a month earlier before those requirements started coming into place, but I just wasn’t willing to put that much into a bank account from the States. It all worked out for the best though!

Hi! If she’s just visiting and American, she shouldn’t need a visa as far as I know unless she’s staying more than a certain period of time (I think it’s 90 days)

Hi! The application process can take some time, for me from start to end it was about 4 1/4 months. So keep that in mind, it may be good to get the ball rolling and make a decision once you have the visa?

I’m not sure honestly, because when I applied - the NIF and bank account wasn’t a requirement and that lead to me not getting the visa. I believe both people do need an NIF from what I’ve read, but not sure about the bank account.
