why do New Yorkers always have the easiest time moving and assimilating properly into other countries around the world? I really do love us. As a Liberian that moved to NYC as a kid and is planning to move back to Africa, i notice that a lot of the people who don't complain a lot when moving abroad, its New Yorkers.

It's kinda funny… To me (as a Rwandan having grown up in Europe), Rwandans usually stood out for being loud… Whenever we had guests over, it got really loud… Same when I'm back in Rwanda, takes some getting used to to people speaking so loudly… But of course nothing compared to americans…

50 cents won't break you! well said! lovely message. In the US they spend 20 us$ tips on a 80 us$ dinner and won't whine about it. I adopted the same mentality like you, it takes some time to step over the ego and think about how it benefits the other but once there, you don't go back and feel so much better

Amazing video, thank you! Getting my courage and finances up to go by myself, 54 year old woman. I REALLY do want to see the mountain gorillas and other wildlife, and the week long tour I'm planning to do is expensive, but alone, I'm not sure I feel comfortable doing everything 'a la carte' and the gorillas themselves are expensive. Did you travel alone?

I love this thanks... I am visiting Senegal and Liberia in a couple months for first time. Solo trip so checking out vids like this. I know Rwanda is different country but love to get info that shatters US stereotype of African countries.

Great content and I subscribed because I give $5-$10 tips around the world to house cleaning, motor, wait staff and I often pay for meals for seniors in restaurants. You're right, it's change or a few dollars for me but it can make paying bills a lot easier for them.

Rwanda was cool it was very clean and well organized. Traveling is tough and the language you really need to try to understand some of it. Only thing I wish it wasn’t so boring. Beautiful place but nothing to do really. We stayed in Kigali and Kibabagaga for a month. The genocide museum is a must see but it was a bit scary after knowing all that happened just 30years ago. Loved everything else though.

I am not an expat so I don't know much about healthcare, but I did visit a dermatologist and it cost me $25 for a consult and medication for a rash I had. There is nightlife from what I saw, but it tends to be a younger crowd. Now Ugandaaaaaaaaa, they had some crazy nightlife.

Which is the best city in Rewanda should I visit if I want to stay only for one week?
@adventurousmidlifer2 ай бұрын
Wow ...of course kigali, but you need to visit other city's that are close to Kigali. Plan to take like maybe 2 day trips out of Kigali, do a city tour that includes the genocide musueum. Let me know if you need the hook up on a driver
