Thank-You so very much. This video makes rreplacing the battery so much easier than I thought compared to other cars. And now I have to replace the Alternator on the 2013 Chevy Malibu too and that is A pain in the rear because of the tork release bar to release the belt can be A pain. Once the belt is off the Alernator I just don't need i t to slip off anything else. Then it would be hard to rethread considering the very tight limited space.

The contacts have a ultra thin coating of silver plating when the switch is new. Ants will commonly get in between the contacts and then get fried! They are attracted to ozone that is created when the contact spark. Rather than first useing sand paper, try using electrical contact cleaner. Turn off power! Spray several times. Spray it on a very thin piece of card stock paper, then run it through each of the 4 contacts, while manually closing the contacts, as you spray more cleaner through the contact points. Let this dry well for at least a half hour. Turn power back on, and see if this will work. If no luck, go to 660 grit sand paper, or finer if one can find it. Auto paint supplies has very fine sand paper.

Hey brother! Love your vid, first well I ever had I learned something! Thanks and God bless, now I learn about well heads and how to extend.. mine is buried good 2 ft ? Rusted scared to mess with. But need too . Bought 3/4 25 feet or under, since one pipe came out. No idea depth? But it pumps water. Was Rusty as heck clearing up with use first time ran for 3 hours came out clear. Morning was Rusty again? But didn't take as long to clear up still Rusty water when sits a spell in bucket. . I'm getting (filling bucket) 5 close to 6 gpm. Bought 33 gallon tank. Is a must to know depth? And can I raise Head? Cap needs to bleed air, but mine is buried? Has a cap in that hole. If iron well casing? Should I even try to remove? Thanks good to shower again!! Lol god bless

Hi. Can I ask why did you use a separate fretboard slab yet use a skunk stripe to route the truss rod slot? Is that just era correct for your build? Thanks for the great video. i learned a lot.
@lennyc6244 ай бұрын
I think I did that because I didn't have a thick enough piece of maple to make a 1 piece at that time. The skunk stripe and bullet truss rod was an era choice. Also that's how I did my truss rods back then. I do it differently now. My method is always evolving.

@@lennyc624 Thanks. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how to do a more vintage correct truss rod for the build I'm planning. This video was a lot of help. Do you have any information about what the dimensions on the curve of the truss rod slot should be?

@@lennyc624 Awesome, thanks. Do you know what's up with that truss rod anchor on the drawing?
@lennyc6243 ай бұрын
@@jeff1872t not really. As far as I understand, there's a screw accessible under the 7th fret marker dot. I think. I'm nor sure what the purpose is. My guess is to prevent the truss rod from digging into the wood under tension. I've built a few necks without that and they seem to work ok. I may be totally wrong about the purpose of that. It's just my best guess.

Thanks for this video. Took my 025 to my local store for a service. They informed me that the piston was shot and that it would cost more than the saw was worth to fix. They offered me £40 to buy the saw off me. Thankfully I refused. A quick search on amazon got me to piston that you have here in the video. Followed your vid to install (as well as adding a smidge of oil), and saw now runs better than it has in years.

Great video. Answered my question about putting in a larger tank to give me more water. Thanks!
@petersherrouse337 ай бұрын
Small tank = short run cycles. First approximation, the pump life span is not decreased by number of starts and stops. However, every time a pump starts and stops it has a tendency to twist which can rub the pipe and wires against the casing which eventually cuts the wires or pipe ( a careful install with snubbers and pipe centering guides greatly reduces this risk, I have also seen the pump to motor coupler splines wear out on a high usage pump with MANY starts over time. But probably the first to wear out will be the pressure switch contacts which arc away due to the number of times the pump turns off (greatest arc) The the smaller the tank (more start/stops), larger the pump (larger arc), the more water used, the faster this will happen. I highly suggest keeping a spare switch handy.

Good job. Thsnks for sharing.. I agree this model Husqvarna is a piece of sh!t! I have two and every so often I'm replacing and repairing something 😢 Currently both won't start, so it may be similar compression issue. These are no more than 5 yrs old. I had an Echo for about 18 yrs and it NEVER had an issue, how sorry I am for giving it away when I got the pieces of husqvarna sh!t.

Sorry you hate t.he blower so much. Mine broke down yesterday and I am grateful for this video. Thank you very much. Something must have come loose so I have to go in and figure out whether it is repairable or whatever the dingus is that broke off destroyed other parts and I have to buy new ones or whatever. You know what I mean. However, for the money, it's been a pretty good blower for me and reliable since I don't use it that often. You want a shitty blower, get one of those B&D 20V cordless blowers like my wife loves. Works every fifteen minutes till the battery runs down and a third grader with a paper towel tube could blow leaves harder.

If high pressure is important to you, one other drawback of an oversized tank besides the cost could be more time at lower pressure. Assume you have a 30/50 switch. More water is moved at high pressure than low pressure. Assume a 20 gallon tank takes 1 minute to drop from 50-40psi and it then takes 2 minutes to drop from 40-30psi. Assume a 40 gallon tank takes 2 minutes to drop from 50-40psi and it then takes 6 minutes to drop from 40-30psi. So, the larger tank means you are spending more minutes at a lower pressure than with a small tank. (All amounts are hypothetical and I do not know what the actual figures are. Maybe an engineer or a well expert can correct me.)
@curtisendicott59898 ай бұрын
Then switch to a 40/60 switch and pressure would stay up
@munsters211 ай бұрын
Very good explanation. 02:45 I would just like to warn folks that the 50 psi and the 30 psi he mentions is just an example. The draw down will depend on the rating of whichever pressure switch you use. 20/40, 30/50, 40/60, 50/70.

Fantastic. One of the best homebuild I have seen. But one thing. You did not shield the pickguard and there was no Contact between the condutive paint and the electronic. You must use coppertape on the pickguard also to Get 100% shielding.
