People tend to focus on her looks, but Shay Mitchell deserves so much more recognition for being an _incredibly_ talented actress. She just knocked it right out of the park as Peach Salinger.

the difference is that joe is a an average white man, peach is a gorgeous poc woman, and almost every single one of us is gay lol
@aparna27012 жыл бұрын
@@aestxt7034 Peach was incredibly privileged compared to Joe, and hence her actions towards Beck were more questionable (writing her an unsolicited check, setting her up with a pervy agent etc.). But “nooo Peach is girlboss so pretty yass Joe is yt ewww” Also stop fetishizing us POC women, it’s fucking gross

@@aparna2701 "Also stop fetishizing us POC women, it’s fucking gross" LMAOOO what?? i AM a poc woman myself 😭😭 and the joe being an average white man part was a joke can you relax? what the fuck are u so defensive for like what
@aparna27012 жыл бұрын
@@aestxt7034 it’s not a joke. There are whole plot lines revolving around why Joe gets away with things because he’s white (especially the missing white woman thing in Season 3), which are understandable and justified. But, why do we not apply the same scrutiny to a different character just because they are female and/or not white? I know it’s easy to dismiss it as just a show, but the opinions we form are what influence us in real life as well. They don’t and may be never make a huge impact, yes. But it is important to critically think for ourselves. P.S. If you’re POC, you should all the more understand why fetishizing and putting POC women on a pedestal in media is outdated and crass. Of course I assumed you weren’t POC

@@aparna2701 omg it is never that serious girl... i know u want "equality" or wtv and trying to prove ure not like those toxic feminist girls or wtv but like?? what the hell are u so mad for.. if i, as a poc lesbian woman WANT to put women i like on a pedestal and at the same time make fun of white people, i very much will!
