I started watching you video showing what yarn you got while on your cruise but I still need to finish it! I had gotten to where you were showing some Laines Du Nord, I believe and omg, that company makes some gorgeous yarn, one of my LYS has some and I always drool over it. I’m so glad you finally got your yarn, again, I’m so sorry it took me so long to send it. That was my first time spinning that fiber, so I’m pleased don’t hesitate to let me know anything you don’t like abojt it, that will be super helpful for when I spin some more. I noticed some halo on the yarn that looked like nylon strands or is that how the angora came to you? Just curious. I don't know anything about spinning/blending yarns. Hi Bella! I think your decision to pair the two yarns was a good one, in terms of the drape, depth of color and overall reduced frustration. I'm novice at reading chart symbols so I appreciate when patterns have a hybrid of instructions to guide me along. The pattern name is familiar. I am pretty sure I've seen it on Ravelry before but I will have to look again to see if I have made anything by that designer before. I'm starting to get into 2025 goal setting mode for all aspects of my life right now and based on my yarn inventory, it's going to be the year of (primarily) hand-dyed makes. For me that's likely to mean a plethora or fingering weight shawls and wearables.

I do agree that I was focused on more big box store yarns before, which is why I made my Merry & Bright series. Then at least I'm work with one or more of my speciality yarns at any given time. Are you doing anything crochet for Christmas or I still have a few things to make, but I'll get them done, I hope 😄 I hope you are doing well and having a wonderful day 💙

@bellascrochetedgifts I'll certainly keep you in the loop as my 2025 shawls and wearables progress. I don't have too much holiday crochet planned. I got a commission for a hat I'm intending to crochet tomorrow, and right now I'm working on a blanket to gift to my mother. I think a number of my latte cake/self striping DK modern granny blankets you've seen in Heather's FB group will end up being gifts this holiday season. My brother and his wife just adopted two cats from the shelter where I volunteer, so one is likely to be a kitty housewarming gift the next time I see him or my sister in law.

Happy anniversary! That's a wonderful achievement. The last time I left the country was over a decade ago. Like you said, my last passport didn't get used, but I just got it renewed this year. My significant other and I turn 40 next year, him in January and me in December. He wants to take a celebratory trip to Sweden in the summer and I'm eager to take what would be my second trip to Costa Rica next fall, if possible. Lots of saving and planning to do first. Thanks for sharing your yarny souvenirs with us.

@bellascrochetedgifts my boyfriend has been enamored with the culture and all Sweden had to offer since years before we met. I have not, as of yet, taken time to educate myself on what I might like to see there. I will, but for now I'm just content to share the joy it will bring him. He's hoping to see Northern Lights for the first time, if we get lucky. The light pollution has prevented us seeing them locally in NH this year when solar activity was favorable. Costa Rica is beautiful and I could gush about the many things I loved 15 years ago and all I have yet to see, but that's for a later date. 😁

I love how September's blanket came out!! THe colors played awesome together!! The Stand is my favorite of Stephen King's movies!! I have seen it many times!!
