To complain about not getting free throws is wild.. Refs bailed Nw players out the whole 2nd half when they drove out of control.. It kept it from bein a 20 point blow out.. They got some awful awful calls

It's a tad early to say that Sunday's game is a "must" win - but having said that, we do not want to start off 1-4 in conference as we'd, likely, have to finish 9-6 to have any chance at an at-large bid. Let's hope for a strong performance and a win against State!

Love this team. Brooks reminds me more and more of Shurna each passing year. But for my money, Matt Nicholson is the glue that holds it all together. Dude doesn't care about scoring - but he loves rebounding and setting screens. And nothing - and I mean nothing - is better than a Nicholson dunk! Go Cats!

I'm really excited by this incoming class of offensive recruits - in particular, the Tight Ends. Even in the NFL, a young QB's best friend is a big, reliable, TE who can make the tough catches over the middle even though he's going to get blasted. The Big 10 has been producing quality NFL Tight Ends for years, but it has been a while since Northwestern has had such a beast. Drake Dunsmore (2007-2011) was the last TE of ours that was an integral part of our offense. Regardless of who wins the starting QB job next year, they will benefit greatly by having a big, safe, target. I hope one of the three incoming TEs becomes our George Kittle, Jake Ferguson, or Jake Butt.
