I want to use 6mm. And I have 5/8 plywood (it’s about 16mm, center is 8mm) But the minimum distance to the center is 10mm?

Thanks for the video. it was helpful. However, I was lucky enough to open the key without cutting the yellow plastic from the sides. I simply slid a knife blade underneath the plastic.

Big question. The part of the circuit board that contacts the battery has four prongs that are soldered. On my mine, the solder is worn thin and it doesn't seem to get power from the battery. Can that be the case? Could send a pic but not sure how to do so.

Just a little advice that was given to me many years ago (which by the way I did not heed) do not use your hands for a hammer. You'll wish you hadn't done that in your later years.

great idea lets put the cupping side onto the machine bed for an extra shaky procedure. Wait! How could we make it even unsafer? Yeah I know dismount all safety mechanisms and apply pressure RIGHT ON TOP OF THE FREAKING CUTTER HEAD! Are you serious? I mean you just literally broke pretty much every rule there is to operating this machine and for what? to save some wood! No, this is NOT a "great method", unless you're looking for a method to get rid of your fingers! BTW: The right way to approach to this problem is to cut the board into smaller strips and joint/ plane those normally!

Great video, thank you. My old barn converted to workshop measures 5.6x8.2m so I have plenty of room for the K3. Currently I am a semi-professional and have many Festool tools but only a Bosch table and Miter saw which I rarely use in my workshop because of dust. I'm looking at the Festool TKS80 and Kapex KS120 but the price for the two is about the same as the Felder K3. Obviously all tools are pricy but I do love a nice tool. Are you happy with the K3 and can it largely replace a miter saw? (I'd still keep the contractor miter and table saws)

Thank you for the great video, although I was a bit late to the party. I am looking to buy the Hammer K3 Winner, but I have a reasonably narrow workspace/garage 2740mm. How wide is your workspace?Keep up the great stuff.

I'm thinking about getting the exact set up you have. Any regrets or changes you would make? Did you consider the saw/shaper combo? Any reason for not doing that?

Thanks so much for this video. I have two Hammer machines - the A331 planer thicknesser and the N4400 bandsaw and I went through the same process as you trying to determine if they would fit in my garage. The available plans were a bit limited on detail. The bandsaw in particular, was an issue (height) and fortunately a call to Felder ensured it was delivered on a pallet horizontally which saved the day. I’m currently deciding if I can fit a K3 in the garage and your video was perfect - thanks again. Martin

got to ask why not make the whole cabinet as one piece and eliminate the 2 divide walls on plywood and use just one piece of plywood as the divide walls?

Awesome video! Very helpful as I need to re-mill some small pieces that I resawed, but I wasn't sure the best way to do it without overshooting my target of 3/8". If I can at least get one side reflattened, I can run them through my planer on my thin stock sled. Thanks! Just subbed.

14:12 where you get those feet? does the saw chassis come with holes for them? what's the bolt/thread info? i know you dislike a mobile base but i was thinking about trying some leveling casters. great video btw. i'm close to ordering a 48 (slider) x 31 (rip) version without the outrigger.

I'm not certain if you are still checking here. But, I have a question: What did you use for the bolts (?) that slide into the T-slot of the tables? I was able to pick up three extension tables on Craigslist for my K3 and A3-41. I like the idea of storing them on the wall, like you did.

LUV the idea, I need to make a few of them, or something close to them. Have to think however the two legs to make it standup on its own are not needed. Any 8' long product will touch the ground with very little angle. I can imagine those legs catching the ground often as you're trying to roll along and every time you're not level they drag. At the least, they could stand to be a bit shorter and only on one side. Otherwise, very nice work.
