why some of my presets like that bowd guitar wont play on my Drone Lab? I guess is due to missing samples... where are they stored?

I only got this to work after I realised that the "MIDI Editor Preview" button (the one under the Fold-button) has to be on 🙂

in a c maj music it is current to have sometimes a D7 (before a G7) a Fm (after a F before retrurn to C...), in scale mode these chords are not possible. All actual music (and musiciens) tend to use a simplified harmony grid... the chromatic mode is great, but for this i prefer the launchpad pro which permit to have (custom mode) the pads white and black with same note disposition as a piano keyboard, really great for person who play keyboards...

This is the best of the 'grid scale' video I have watched today but I still find it incomprehensible. Why not play slower with superimposed note and chord graphics? What is the appeal of playing a scale 3 or 4 notes at a time?

How can you do automatic scale following? E.g. you run a clip and the scale on push2 automatically changes with the progression of different scenes? That would be a great help!!Thanx in advance!

I understand you can move octaves up and down with the octave button, but my question is when you are in a key, how many octaves are on the displayed keys? Is it 3 octaves and then you can move the octaves up and down with the octave button? I am asking about running a scale from say C1 thru C5. Thank you.

Hi Ann, when "In Key" with an instrument you have access to four octaves. If you use the coloured pad as a reference then a new octave appears on the diagonal up (from the bottom left across to the right 1 pad and then up two) so a new octave appears every alternate row. I hope that makes sense! do let me know! thanks for watching!

Hi there, is it possible to disable "Take Lanes/ Comping" in Ableton live? It automatically creates hundreds of hidden takes and my projects gets ridiculously huge!, any help would be much appreciated.
@simonlyonmusic
@simonlyonmusic 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Reinhardt, I understand your issue! The take lanes are created automatically as soon as the transport/record play goes past the loop marker. This process is now the normal behaviour. pressing ALT + Command/Control + U (or right mouse click) will show/hide take lanes. Once you hide the take lanes they will stay hidden until you click "Show Take lanes " again. After you've done it a few times it bwcomes part of the workflow. I hope thats helps!

I agree, the Ableton official ones are stylish, but you don't have a clue what is going on half the time. Simon's tutorials are amazing...saved me a lot of time.

Very important: When he pushes "New" to make a new bass clip, this makes a whole new scene on my Push. You have to hold down the "User" button and set the "Workflow" to "Clip" to have Push make just a new clip.
