Why does the first picture of the yarn show 5 oz and the last picture shows 10 oz skein?

I suppose if you’re going to join it at the end and you think it’s too tight you could do a couple of rows across the ends putting 2 or 3 buttonholes in one side and buttons the other and adjusting it that way.

Thank you for doing a video. The pattern website came up as not secure so I was very happy to find this. I'm just confused at the beginning of the post stitches. You started them directly after the slip stitch join, there were no chains to start the row, is that correct? Also I really could not tell where the actual first post you crocheted into was, and I started where I thought you started but my count was off. It was just difficult to see where it was exactly in relation to the beginning of that row.
