Yapping to practice my english: Last week I was changing my tires to winter ones and while doing so, I couldn't unscrew one (1) nut, which was a different type from all the others and had to ride to my mechanic, by bike, at 7pm and borrow a good socket and a wrench (i thought, that maybe mine was faulty or missized), which funnily didn't help at all. Upon arriving back at my mechanic's house to return the tools, he gave me another socket, 1 size smaller than my unruly nut, together with a wrench and advised to just smash the socket on with a hammer and then try to unscrew it. It worked, and I bought him a giant chocolate, as a thank you and sorry for the trouble. Still, now I'm sad and embarassed of annoying him so, so I really: Appreciate your video, which allows me to change the oil by myself, without bothering anyone for help.

I have a 2002 honda civic lx. I am changing front struts, both sides. And front, right side wheel bearing and hub. Also, the right side axle. So far every video I've seen mentions the wheel should be spinning FREELY when car is jacked up. Neither left or right spin at all. Common sense tells me it is because the transmission is in PARK. Is this spinning freely thing supposed to be done in NEUTRAL?
@quikdiy71343 ай бұрын
Hello I supposed your car is automatic, mine is manual, yes the park system in automatic lock the gear of the output shaft, therefore yes the parking will lock the wheel, but be careful if you need to apply a lot of torque in the will with the parking engaged, that mechanism it cannot stand a lot of torque sometimes

Check floating switch if it is working with a multimeter, otherwise the switch might be defective

@@quikdiy7134I replaced the pump with a new one because a valve was damaged on the old pump. The dryer is now working normally. I don't know why the pump works all the time. The important thing is that it doesn't write mistakes, the clothes are dry.

How are you loosening all the nuts so easily…
@quikdiy71344 ай бұрын
Spray WD 40 on the threads and nuts before starting, let it act for a few minutes, that helps, use some wrench extensions

Bro, thanks for this video! The water in the tank with the pump was really dirty, thats why mine gave the water full error. Never opened up a dryer in my life but with your video of exactly my model it was a piece of cake. So its working again and didnt have to spend a dollar. Thank you sooo much!

I appreciate the simplicity of it. I learned that double wrench trick at my first quick lube job as a pit tech and it has saved my ass a million times since then! I am about to be replacing all 4 of mine in the next few days and all I have are hand tools, no impacts. I am hoping to be able to get it done. It has aftermarket coilovers on it now and is lowered so I'm hoping with them having been changed at least once that it won't be too bad.
