Was the cabana a separate cost or was it included with the concierge service?

I'm curious about how much you factor in price in the food rating. Paying $69 for a Filet and $34 for a crab claw is crazy! I think price to value is an important consideration. I did check and found that Jiko is now charging $62 for their filet. However, Steakhouse 71 has 8 oz Tenderloin Medallions for $42 and a 6 ounce filet for $41. I would take the ambiance at the Boathouse and Jiko over Steakhouse 71, but not $20 - $30 dollars more per plate for a similar quality steak. However, Toledo's Filet is also $42 and the ambiance there is on par with both the Boathouse and Jiko, so you get much better price to value if you want steak. Just my opinion.

Brutus seafood in Marathon Key has the best priced stone crab we’ve found in all of Florida. They also have great mustard sauce. Long way from Orlando but if you’re ever down that way.

We we’re there in September (Didn’t come dine there when we came back for New Year) because I was disappointed with the food and service we got in September. We got seated in almost like a pop up table; we were seated to close, our food came out cold after waiting for a looooong time. Hoping it was just an off day.

First off, I love your guys’ content, you’re the first channel I go to when I need a Disney dining review But I propose you go to a specific Disney restaurant every day Sunday-Saturday and rate it based on the entire experience. Get a good average of everything to expect no matter when we’re visiting! Whether it be a random Tuesday or a Saturday night. I feel like that’s the only way to get a real feel of what the restaurant’s really like

I wonder what liquor they used in Ken’s drink. That can make all the difference. We’ve never had the crab so we will add it to our menu list when we return in April. Thanks for another visit to our favorite DS restaurant. ❤❤ M

I usually order seafood there, but the last time I decided to try the filet sliders I'd heard so much about. They were fantastic! They really do know how to cook a steak there. I'm not even that much of a steak lover and rarely order it, but I'd get those again in a heartbeat.

Love your videos and great reviews of Disney and now cruise! My husband and I are going to book our first cruise (probably on the Utopia) for a milestone birthday/anniversary this year. Suggestions on WHERE on a ship newbie's should book stateroom for first time - to hopefully avoid any motion sickness issues? We've heard several suggestions. Thank you in advance for your recommendations.
@AddictedtotheMouse7 күн бұрын
For motion sickness specifically, you want to be closer to the ship’s center of gravity (midship, lower deck) and have a view of the horizon. That said, Utopia is so big, you don’t feel a ton of movement anyway under general conditions.

Staying at OKW in May. We are definitely going to hit up Port Orleans to see how it compares to the real thing since we’re from Louisiana. We live in North Louisiana & we have a fabulous bakery that makes amazing beignets & king cake!
@moonbeammama2210 күн бұрын
The last time we were there was December 2019. I ordered at the time a veggie burger on beignet buns. Sounded interesting. It was awful. I could not eat it. The WORST veggie burger patty ever. I think it could have been promising with a better veggie burger patty. Also, I've had real NOLA beignets, and Disneys just tastes like Dunkin Donuts. I would give it another try. Port Orleans French Quarter is a lovely resort.

Great review! Port Orleans is a resort it seems when we mention it many know very little about and once they stay there they all say wow it’s Disney but it’s more laid back. It’s a fantastic relaxed stay and the food is awesome and priced reasonably. Hop on the boat to enjoy Disney Springs, love it!
@vespista197111 күн бұрын
@@charlesjeffries3178 My family has always been a Fort Wilderness family, and that resort will always have a special place in my heart because of all the memories, but I’ve been thinking for years now that if I tried Port Orleans French Quarter, it would probably become my new favorite. I’m about to go for a long weekend, mainly to resort-hop and shop, (staying off-property because it’s actually combined with a work-related trip), and I’m definitely going over to check out French Quarter!

I’m headed down in a couple weeks for my first attempt at a (long) weekend mostly non-park trip. We are going to EPCOT for at least a half-day to check out Festival of the Arts, but other than that we’re just going to try out a “chill” sort of resort-hopping and shopping Disney Springs kind of experience. (I’ve been going since I was a kid in the 70’s, but it’s always been a week to 10-day all-out vacation)…. One of things on my list is taking a leisurely boat ride from Springs over to French Quarter and taking a walk around, (never been there), and getting some beignets. But after this review, I might be adding some shrimp & grits to that order!
