For the effort, water and energy costs, you can buy the most expensive pellets on the market and they are already cleaned.

You migth be lucky m8 , with chinese air rifles you either get a good one or a bad one , so you might not have these promblems i have had
@LethalLeather11 күн бұрын
Great info, do you need a barrel adaptor for your suppressor? If so, what is the thread pitch? Thanks!
@Mjk109578 күн бұрын

@Mjk1095727 күн бұрын
Sorry m8 not to sure what you are asking , if you asking can the cocking lever get stuck in open postion , no its not normal and it shouldnt do it mine does it to , i had to take the stock off , if you do that PLEASE MIND YOUR FINGERS IN THE BREACH M8 , i have had a number of saftey promblems with this rifle
@lerosh222627 күн бұрын
Bi ,thanks for the reply,,yes I saw a guy with the same problem with that rifle,,was gonna have one but was told by a local gunshop I should look elsewhere,,,so bought. Weirauch 35 K. Now that's properly built,,a bit dearer though,,,but Benjamin and Remington do have great guns ,,but maybe not that one ,,,why don't you take the lever block out ,and just hold the lever,,? P.s. I would have thought Weirauch,Air arms,,etc. could have made a BSA design or a Webley design,so you can cock and return the lever immediately then use a tap to load a slug ? All the best mate,,, Lesrobert

So the marksman are every bit as good as the Jsb,,,should try the slightly heavier marksman pointed they are great also ,,,,rgds good vid
@lerosh2226Ай бұрын
The colour only shows the marksman is a solid lead pellet and softer than the others ,the shine is because they must have some Antony in them,but that's it the marksman are super good pellets,and just put a couple of drops of STP oil additive in a plastic bottle for tablets etc. and roll them around a bit and the marksman will be lubed,,,?

@Beesa10Күн бұрын
Exactly! I've got some more expensive airguns and some much less expensive ones (£30! good price btw) I enjoy shooting them regardless and I like finding out for myself what accuracy they're capable of, how to hold them, which pellets work best, choosing a good scope, if I can improve them etc. I rate the B3/DB4/DB5 chinese underlever as possibly the best value for money

Marksman pellets are excellent,,they look gray as there is less antimony on the mix,and they dont wash them ? But clean or dirty they all shoot very well,, used them since the early 60s always shoot better than me ? Rgds ,,thanks for the test,,,,
@lerosh22263 ай бұрын
Ahave used these since the late 50s,they look gray because of the lead antimony content,,but rhey are always accurate and weigh the same throughout the whole 500,,and are a good price ,,love them,,

I had one of these when i lived in the UK and can safely say that it was the worst design of .22 rifle I ever had the misfortune of owning and shooting. There were no redeeming factors of this gun, jamming up almost every magazine i put through it. It also had great amounts of unburnt powder accumulating inside which gummed up the works even more - even with high-velocity stuff. The normal ammo is had great difficulty putting through it. The receiver was made of powder coated soft metal in which the steel bolt ran, but as the centre of the barrel was designed out-of-line with the rails, the bolt seized up almost continuously. If you kept it dry - it would jam. If you lightly oiled it - it would jam.

Great gun, thinking of getting one when my FAC comes through, do you recommend?
@adambacker81786 ай бұрын
I understood your squaddie speak. Royal Signals Vet here. Consider a HW77, It will outlast you, sure you will have to replace spring and washers every now and then however its user friendly and serviceable yourself at home and reliable.
@adambacker81786 ай бұрын
As youre considering HW97, look at the HW77 because it has the open sights which the 97 does not. And if you wanted the KT (synthetic thumbhole stock) you can special order them from your gunshop who will put the order through to Hull Cartridge who import them.

Buy yourself a clear plastic measuring jug. Dirt cheap. Pour out 1.5ltrs from your new 5ltr oil can. Put the 3.5 left into car. Pop the rest back in can.

Resting a springer on a beanbag, cushion, folded up towels etc is fine, just avoid resting it directly on a hard surface. Stock screws working loose is a common issue, scope mounts or scope internals can shake loose. Shrouds/moderators can cause pellet clipping. A brand new rifle can have excessive amounts of grease or problems because for example an assembly technician was in a hurry and damaged the piston seal. New springers generally do improve as the parts bed in etc but some are just better to begin with.

For anyone watching this now, the 8 hole clips with the metal centre are for pellets the totally plastic 1 is for BB's. It's also good to strip them down now n again to clean and re oil (silicone oil) them, also put a drop of S oil down the hole where the air comes out of the mag, this oils the valve. Had mine years, great gun.
@stephenmunt16249 ай бұрын
This gun is a complete joke along with the company, the safety catch fell off after using it about 4 times, the bbs got stuck in the barrel. The end piece handle also fell off. I emailed the company and they couldn't give a c**p. I simply asked for a new saftey switch so I could screw in back on and they told me they don't have any parts. The gun looks good but is completely junk. I can send you a copy of the emails if you want.

I was seriously think about getting one of those. Not now. For the same money, you could get an XS41 ( if you can find one). It's good to know that one is crap but it's a shame you had to buy it to find out. What's it like inside? Is it worth working on or just a wall hanger?
