I have a 2011 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe that I got recently but I always wanted a Les Paul with 3 pickups so I was searching around to find something I could care less if it’s a knock off now that i achieved my goal to at least have one Gibson Les Paul. To be fair knockoff guitars can be just as good as the real thing if you want the best sounding guitar all to your specifications then get a knockoff cause you can dump the extra money into upgrading everything on it

It actually does have locking tuners! I use the toggle a lot of times as a kill switch but this guitar is more of a tool and the middle position shines so it’s going to spend time doing modern worship music as that is its wheelhouse.

You sold me on the Chibson Ace Freeley in your previous video, that I watched a few minutes ago.. I ordered two. I didn't buy it because of the label. I bought it because you are a better player than I am and you made it sound like a fine guitar and for only $300--I mean, other than the guilt trip you were on. As far the label--I tell everybody it's a fake because I don't want anybody thinking I paid $3,000 for a guitar you can get for $300, just like I don't anybody thinking I paid $7,000 for a fake Rolex Oyster Perpetual that I got for $400. For whatever it's worth I drive a 1998 5 speed 6 cyl Accord putting out 260 hp, so I can outrun most anybody. I have taken it up only to 130 mph, and there was not a bit of rattling or shaking, and this week I got to where I was going just fine, just like everybody in their brand new cars. I might even make a "Chibson" label and put it on my Chibsons. Gibson's got nothing I want and I don't want to leave room for anybody to think i am taking something from them that I don't even want.
@johnpulaski329326 күн бұрын
I have zero love for Gibson. Zero. Still, it’s their intellectual property. I get why people would buy a knock off signature model because they’re priced ridiculous. Still, if someone wants any non signature model and they want Gibson on the headstock, I think they should pony up the cash.

@jaxcrax26 күн бұрын
I wouldn't say he's a goofball but I'd say he needs to lighten up and go talk to his priest about his irrational and misplaced guilt feelings. F--k Gibson. The only way most broke musicians can afford an Ace Frehley is in the Chibson. Nobody is going to pay $3,000 for that guitar--maybe a collector would pay that, but not a broke, gigging musician. If gigging musicians psif $3,000 for that guitar, 9 out of 10 would land in the pawn shop within 6 months. This guy I grew up with is really good and plays in bands that get work pretty regular, and sometimes he will have to borrow a guitar from me because he has pawned it and I am the one who has to get it out of hock. I put his ass to work to pay me back too. He is a good friend and a really cool guy and he can play anything he hears one time. He is miles ahead of me on the guitar. I just ordered two of the Ace Frehley's. I am plannng on giving him the secord Chibson Ace Frehley.for Christmas and I want to hear what he says about it.

I just won one of these in an auction this morning. It needs some tlc. There is a significant crack in near the neck pocket. And some of the faded yellow binding has come off. I got it for 125 bucks! I've been watching some great tutorials on how to repair neck cracks by tuning the strings tighter to opening the crack and putting warmed up hide glue to run into affected cracks and then clamping. Since the covid times, I've been fixing up guitars that need some care. Have you had any experience with hide glue fixing cracks in a guitar before? Great playing, my man.

@johnpulaski3293 there is more than enough content for inspiration and point of reference on youtube for us to benefit from my man. I've built 2 kits so far. I brought my late fathers mid 70s fender acoustic back to life with some gluing and clamping already. Breathing life into a tired instrument or building a kit from scratch is like therapy. Have a go at a kit my man. Draw up the perfect guitar in your your head, draw it on paper roughly, make your list of hardware required, tools required, and get at it. It's a test in patience, totally therapeutic, and has a reward at the finish line.
