I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan back in 1985 at the Towson town center. What an awesome show what a great guitar player he was still is he still playing in heaven with all his brothers and sisters Will always miss Stevie Ray Vaughan. God bless.

Just an incredible performance by Stevie and the whole band . Did you see toward the end of the song his strap became disconnected but didn't fall off. I'm almost 100% sure he had many angels in his presence and he channeled his music. Such a gift

2023 and watching this , people looked so much happier back in the day that’s crazy and beautiful to see , no hate , just everybody having a good time all together !! Love this tune so much and what a stellar performance. That crazy little flurry from 3:33 - 3:36 is pure SRV fiery magic. It's even cooler that he does it when the camera is shooting from him behind, making it easy to miss.

He's not playing "Charlie" on this version. He most often played "Charlie" on this song. For those who may not know, Charlie Wirtz made a cream- colored guitar for Stevie and this is a dedication song for Charlie when he passed away and this song is an inspiration, esp. after he got clean, attended AA , and professed Christ. Watch the 87 version. There are still people that are getting clean 30 years after his death because of the legacy as the man he was and his ability as well as his guitar playing and voice. he left behind. Love SRV, I'm sure Christ said "Well done, faithful servant". Not many people can do that after they left earth. He was barely clean here in 87 after rehab, still tore it up !!!!

His struggles are no more. Seeing who he was and hearing his testimonies, I truly believe that he is in Heaven with our Lord now. He is at peace. Fly on Stevie! I look forward to the day when we can jam together haha

But Christ is no fairytale, He was a real man born about 4 BC, lived a sinless life as God incarnate, willingly became the sacrifice for our sins, and now all who put their trust in Jesus as their savior will be given the righteousness of Him in the eyes of God, therefore being washed clean of our transgressions against God and allowed into Heaven when we die. I tell you what though, if this is a fairytale, those first century "peasants," as you folks like to call them, were the greatest creative writers this world has ever seen. You must at least give them credit for that if you're going to be an ignorant sob and say it's a fairytale xD

GOAT gets thrown around a lot nowadays, but for me no one is even remotely close to SRV. And it makes his death all the more difficult to handle - especially given all he overcame. I just... it's still just hard to accept. God bless you Stevie, thank you. What you have done will live on forever, and no cruelty in this life can ever take that away.
