Not sure exactly how mine will look when finished because I used a much smaller hook and yarn, but I love this stitch and this is definitely a nice beginner project.

I haven’t even finished this video before I knew what a great tutorial it is. I am going to use this pattern as a base for my bouquet blanket. Can’t wait!!!

I just did this myself before watching any tutorial. I thought I did it wrong, but I didn't. I'll just need to use more yarn. Mine was half as thick as yours, but otherwise, exactly the same as how you did it.

Dear Darla, I don’t really keep anything I make and I’m definitely not a fast crocheter. I only have 2 coasters, 3 wash cloths and 2 poppy flowers. The rest are WIPs and I’m waiting for cooler weather as our weather is scorching 🥵 here in Australia so not able to crochet much. What you are doing is very generous and one day when I run out of people to accept my gifts that’s what I plan to do! Minnie is so sweet…I had to laugh when she gave you a stare saying no way she’s not helping 😅 Take care and God’s Blessings to you and your family and Community 🙏🏽🩷🧶😻 Have a Happy Healthy Blessed and a Prosperous New Year 2025! 🎉🎉🎉🍾🍫

I wonder how many Sugar ‘n Cream yarns held together to get the thickness of this yarn.
@CraftingwithKellye-x4x
@CraftingwithKellye-x4x 4 күн бұрын
2-3 strands would be the equivalent thickness.

I learned Tunisian crochet by crocheting small blankets and then donating them to the local Humane Society (in fact, I was on my way into the Humane Society one time and the Big Cheese of the thrift store stopped me and my pile in the parking lot and pretty much begged me to give her the blankets to sell in the store as burp cloths, etc., so I am sure that your beautiful handmade items will sell like hotcakes!). I also crocheted a plarn mat for the homeless and still have plenty of balls of plarn left so I may make another sleeping mat. You could do something like that with your excess yarn but I love the idea of donating the yarn itself (anywhere except Goodwill or Savers, which are not true thrift/charity stores). I love our local Humane Society Thrift - run by volunteers and they often have yarn to sell.

Hello! I hoard my crocheted items. I am not interested in selling them. I need to find a good place where I can donate my crocheted items. That is a good charity where you donate. Happy New Year and all the best in 2025.❤❤

D'Arcy is such a sweetheart and does such great work. I've worked with him when I use to run the rescue a friend and I had. I knit and crochet specific items for donation. Plus knit and crochet items that people ask me to make for them. Along with items for our home, for our daughter and furbabies, for me and my husband and our furbabies. Keeps me busy and without a lot of finished items to hoard, lol. I keep a small amount of finished items on hand for gifts. You sure had a ton of gorgeous items for donation. I bet they loved getting it all. 🤗❤

I only make things that I can gift to someone. If i had to make them to sell, it would take the joy out of the process for me. I tried that route and I hated it. So I make things for people I know who will appreciate the item, my husband has given several things I made him away, to people who had no need or even the climate to use the items. I don't make him things anymore. I don't really have someplace where I could donate, and I live in a large city, they just don't want things that are handmade. The thought on my end of that is they have no idea how to price the items and so either over price or drastically under price which ends up not making them a profit on a donated item smh
